Three problems related to front seat recliner have been reported for the 1999 Dodge Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The recliner handle for the driver's side front seat broke off.
- the contact stated that in an attempt to start the 1999 Dodge Caravan the driver's side recliner handle broke off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for repair, but the dealer did not repair the vehicle. The contact stated that there was a recall on other vehicles for this same driver seat recliner bolt problem. Updated 2/27/2007 -.
The front seat reclining lever has broken off on both front seats. This makes it very uncomfortable to sit for any length of time. I was told that the seats had to be replaced. This is to expensive.
