Two problems related to battery dead have been reported for the 2011 Dodge Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
After driving at highway speeds for 2 hours, when returning home and shutting off the engine, I heard whirling noises coming from my fuel tank. Upon moving the vehicle, 30 minutes later, the van experienced a rough start. The following morning, the battery was dead. After jumping off the vehicle, it ran smoothly but I am concerned this will happen again.
We started having issues starting our car in October. Autozone said nothing was wrong. A couple weeks later the battery was dead. We replaced it and $179 later the problem is worse. The key has been stuck in the ignition twice. The mechanical doors stop working halfway through opening or closing every now and then. Googling issues brings up nothing but tipm issues which Chrysler has known about for how long? yet they continue to refuse to issue a recall for their mistake leaving the outrageous amount on us to pay to fix. Are we really waiting for people to start dying because of this faulty issue? the vehicle shuts down in the middle of the road! if you can get it started.
