Conventional Parking Brake Problems of Dodge Caravan

Parking brake would go to floor and not keep car from moving. Had to release and press again several times to get it to work. This happened for a couple years and now would only grab at top. Dealer had to replace parking break mechanism.

The emergency brake does not catch. It has never worked properly. Dealer says it needs a new foot pedal.

Emergency brake malfunctioned four times. Firs two times resulted in the rlease handle popping out and would not reset to its parking place; last two malfunctions resulted in non-functiona; emergency brake.

Parking brake has never be able to hold veh. , even on slight incline. Dealer said parking brake "normal".

Parking brake failed.

Vehicle was being driven with emergency brake still engaged, without knowledge due to poor location of brake warning light. Also, vehicle would not stop when brakes were engaged.

Consumer applied emergency parking brake while vehicle was being washed. When brake was released light on the instrument panel indicated that emergency parking brake was off. However, front and rear wheels would not unlock. Dealer stated that problem occurred due to rust buld up between pads and cylinders. Please give any further details.
