Failure Date: 11/17/2004

While driving 65 mph the hood latch failed, causing it to fly up and shatter the front windshield. Vehicle was towed. The hood latches failed due to abnormal wear.

3 Hood Latch problem of the 1998 Dodge Caravan

Failure Date: 11/09/2003

The hood latch broke without excessive force being applied. As a result, the hood failed to open even when it was unlocked. Dealership indicated that they repaired the hood latch the first time it failed, but the failure recurred.
