36 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/15/2017

Driver side window constantly goes up and down an inch by itself when car is off, window up, and doors are closed. Draining battery.

37 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/15/2017

The driver side window repeatedly moves up and down un-commanded. This happens when the vehicle is driven or stationary and causes the battery to be drained overnight. This issue was noted by Chrysler on the 2011 Challenger and addressed in the "customer satisfaction notification m24 Smart glass switch". The same issues are present on the 2012 Challenger as evident in the amount NHTSA complaints filed against this vehicle (or a quick search on google for "Smart glass switch issues"). However, they refuse to include these models in their distributor/dealer service instructions regarding m24 when they were only manufactured a few months apart and likely were assembled using the same faulty parts. So far, I was forced to pay out of pocket for a new battery, and will soon have to pay for the replacement Smart glass switches and labor.

39 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 04/28/2017

Tracktion control light came on, I pulled into my driveway. Thank god because when I tried to start it about 5 min. Later it was dead. Would not hold a charge, could not jump start it , had it towed to haddad Dodge. Next morning they called and said it is the alternater and it's $1000😳so I asked if that's all that's wrong because I know there were burned out fuses and I would think I would need a new battery . He said I would have to pay for the alternater before he could check to see if anything else was wrong, hmmmmmm I've checked the Dodge blog and I can't count how many people have had the excact same thing happen to there Challengers! I guess there going to wait till one of us gets killed before they do a recall on what ever is causing this to happen, because if ur on the freeway and it dies it's no fun at 70 with no brakes and no steering!,, I was actually rear ended at a stop light 6 months ago, maybe that had something to do with, because I have had one thing after another go wrong with this car since the accident. But if u ask anyone in this hillbilly town I live in, the reck had nothing to do with any of the problems my cars having! coman since tells me it has everything to do with it, since my car was perfect since the day I got it! not one problem ever, till that idiot hit me, but this town is full of men that know everything about everything 😏.

41 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 01/26/2017

The windows on my car are continuously moving up and down without me touching the controls. The door handle latches are also getting stuck and in the mornings the car is dead and has to be jumped. I called the Dodge dealership after googling the problem. The dealership told me the door latches need to be replaced at a cost of $350. 00 each and they have had several of these complaints and problems. This is causing the windows to move by themselves and draining the battery overnight. They immediately knew what I was talking about. I think there should be a recall on these two problems. We pay too much for our cars as it is. Now I have to pay for a malfunction!.

For the past few months my driver side window will go up and down every few seconds when the vehicle is parked. I park in a garage and first noticed when I went out and heard loud noises coming from my car. I thought maybe I had not closed the door properly and made sure to check each time after. It continued to happen nearly every time the car was parked. So much so that now the battery needs to be charged daily. This has also caused the rubber edging to start to rub of on the window, and not seal as tightly. When I do park outside and there is bad weather, such as rain or wind, the inside of my car will be wet or dirty. 69 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 08/14/2014

I was driving when all the alerts on my car started going off and it quit working. It wouldn't recognize my key then I had to try and get it started for 15 minutes. When I did, it wouldn't switch out of 1st gear. I drove it to the dealership where I paid 175$ for a new battery which wasn't even the problem. I wasted a completely good battery. Then, they told me it was the computer and it could be weeks or months until I receive the part because it is on national back order.

70 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 10/07/2013

The battery completely stalled unexpectedly and appeared to have heavy corrosion. I was eventually able to get the car started and took it straight to my local dealer. I explained the issue to the service representative and they agreed to replace the battery post. Unfortunately, the same issue occurred to me and my son approximately one year later when the car completely stopped. I had to purchase a new battery on a two year old vehicle. I am extremely concerned there are some major issues with the electrical system in this vehicle considering the reoccurring instances of the car stopping unexpectedly. I have a wife and children and want the manufacturer to be aware of what I am experiencing with the car. I pray nothing serious occurs while my family is in this vehicle. I have communicated my issues to the dealer and they seem to not be interested. I'm sure they will be all ears should something happen and Dodge is on the front page of the newspaper.
