This is another complaint and follow up to my previous complaint on this web site. I have also made a complaint to the state of connecticut attorney general's office whom has involved the consumer protection agency. Executive Dodge of wallingford CT diagnosed this vehicle after having it for 2 weeks and driving it over 75 miles. I also went for a test ride with their certified mechanic. The mechanic told me the car refused to go into 8th gear while in automatic mode--non paddle shift mode and he would keep it over the next few days to replace the valve body. The next day the Dodge star case team--nameless faceless people in detroit--told the certified on site mechanic that this issue and the transmission bucking in between gears was normal for this transmission. Dodge customer care has called me to apologize and is currently offering me 1 month's payment on the car to Chrysler capital as a "sorry" for my inconvenience. The government--NHTSA has not gotten back to me despite numerous complaints about this car on safercar. Gov for the same issue. I guess someone has to die before they launch an investigation--just like all those deaths at gm, Toyota, and those Ford explorer tires years ago. No one cares. The car will not shift properly--it bucks in between gears and will not go into 8th gear and has shifting lab and shuttering in between gears--. So much for safer cars on the highway. At $400. 00 a month for a car payment you would think Dodge would make a quality product. I'm done--last Dodge I will ever buy. Better off with a mustang. .
