My vehicle stopped accelerating while at an intersection red light 7-3-20. Managing to get it to a mechanic shop I was told my transmission is no good. My powertrain warranty expired in 1-2020. My car was inspected and diagnosis test were performed on it and never detected any problems with the transmission during 2019 over three different times because of my concerns about how my car was driving. Under the dealership possession they failed to identify the problems that existed within the transmission never making the appropriate repairs or replacing parts covered under warranty. I knew my car was not driving properly that's why I took it to the dealership and every time they failed to detect the problems with my transmission alleging that there are no problems and claims to have fix problems they did see but never addressing the true problems with the transmission keeping me uninformed about the conditions of my vehicle while under warranty by misleading information that's inaccurate. Chrysler refused to assist me with replacing the transmission that should have been replaced when I took my vehicle in under warranty with concerns how the car drives. Chrysler claims how were they supposed to know about the transmission if I didn't tell them but I'm not a mechanic and I told them it was driving and shifting properly what else am I'm supposed to do besides bring it to the dealership to be inspected. I have records of my maintenance history for all of 2019 showing each time I took my car to the dealership for inspection and they failed to make the transmission repairs. These same records are available for Chrysler to review and they still decided to not assist me with the replacement of the transmission that they failed to replace while under warranty because they intentionally ignored the problems and acknowledge that replacement was needed.

Tl the contact owns a 2014 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to respond with the accelerator pedal depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to midway Dodge (4747 s. Pulaski rd, chicago, IL 60632) to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle was operating as designed. The contact stated that the vehicle was picked up and the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer recommended that the vehicle be taken back to the dealer and for a technician to do a drive along to see if the failure would recur. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 73,300.
Very hard shift from 4th gear to 5th and also when I put it in drive from park it takes a while for the gear to kick in. Because of this my car is running at a high coolant temp. I will be driving normally and when 4th gear switches to 5th gear the car revs up and kicks forward I almost hit the car in front of me it is unsafe.

My 2019 Dodge Challenger was hesitant to take off even when the accelerator was to the floor. A diagnostic test came back and it was a gear 6 shift incorrect ratio. My vehicle was in motion within busy traffic, almost causing a wreck.

Caxmax sold me a car that my mechanic described as flood damaged up to the body line just below the window. Rust from the engine to the exhaust tips. Rocks and sand in all body cavities on the underside of the vehicle. I conveyed this information to my salesman who facilitated a refund. I included photos. A week later it was back on the carmax south sacramento website (where I bought it) with updated mileage information and no mention of the flood damage. As it is in unavailable status it is likely being resold to another unsuspecting consumer.

My 2014 Dodge Challenger with 50k miles started leaking oil from the housing oil filter which is made out of cheap plastic (68105583af).
Car has stalled several times while driving above 60 mph. Seems like loses power and fuel pump shuts off. Had to pull over and restarts with no issues. Kind of dangerous when you lose power to brakes and steering too.

2014 timing belt was recalled and apparently repaired. Car shut off in the middle of the highway and then engine seized. Had it towed and service said it was timing belt again and now engine needed to be replaced. Called Dodge, they said there is nothing they can or want to do.
The right shifter paddle on the steering wheel will intermittently downshift several gears instead of upshifting when the paddle is pressed. The system will also downshift unexpectedly when the right paddle shifter is held down to change over to the automatic drive system. This has been occurring since I started using the paddle shifters around 30,000 miles on the vehicle. The unexpected downshifting consistently slams the vehicle to almost a stop, abruptly forcing any occupants in the vehicle into the seatbelts. There have been many occasions where vehicles have almost hit my vehicle because the car shifts down several gears at once and slows suddenly without brake lights. The vehicle has also slid in wet conditions when it has occurred. Due to safety concerns, I have not been able to operate the paddle shifters at high speed in fear of my own safety and the safety of others. If the vehicle was to downshift several gears at speed in wet conditions, the vehicle would likely slide out of control. Additionally, the hard shifting is likely causing premature wear and tear on the transmission, drive components and tires. The vehicle has now been in the shop for this issue 8 times with no permanent fix. There are many articles and forum reports addressing this issue with Dodge Challenger vehicles, but Dodge refuses to acknowledge the forums and claims they only address issues separately with each customer. This issue has left me without my vehicle for months at a time and is a constant safety hazard if the paddle shifters are operated. This issue is a major safety hazard to the occupants and other drivers since downshifting 2-3 gears at once can be the same as slamming on the brakes, especially in wet conditions. . Read more...

The icon came on to tell me service immediately, it's bogging down when it's in gear and the motor is extremely hot.
Slowly pulling out of carport area making an inclined right turn I get a distinctive screeching sound. Something is slipping almost sounds and feels like im braking and hitting the gas: as in burning rubber. Just had powertrain updated and she still does it. Please note that the incline is relatively mild, I do not have a sharp turn, so I am not cranking my steering wheel, I've tried to shift into first, go super slow, use traction control button (which indecently does not turn on anymore after powertrain recall update). The mechanics at two separate nissans dealerships cannot find an error when testing they cant find an error or error code. One other note is that this was a contnious and embarrassing daily problem. After powertrain update it is inconsistent but 80% of the time she squeals) once again, I barley touch gas am not yanking wheel. It happens from a dead stop to me turning or me coasting without stopping. Hell, ive even tried to gun it (it was worse) here tires are in very good condition and are inflated properly don't know if this next piece of info will help?: she seems to have a slight lag in in her ability to accelerate when I floor the gas peddle to speed up to pass someone or jump on freeway. She didn't do that to start with, after. Powertrain update recall, she is a bit smoother. I thank you for you time again I love my car (barley over 30k miles ). I and just a side note: I do let my her warm up, until she is drops to a perfect 1r :) for date it happened I'm putting the today. Its been happening for 1. 5 to two years, slowly increased from occasionally to constantly . And once again it is after the power train update, it stopped doing it every time but it is still frequent. She does it if In turning slowly up other inclines. Again im putting todays date so you know it is a present issue. Thank you .
My cars temperature gauge flickers up and down while driving . I took it in once for repair but it still continues doing this . The car does this whenever the engine is on whether it's running or stationary . Also the right headlight has electric problems . It turns off and on whenever it wants to. But it stays off more than it stays on .
Driving home in rain and got off highway service ramp. As soon as I turned right the car died. It said my key fob battery was low and would not restart. My son brought up my other key fob and it still would not start. No warning whatsoever came on stating anything was wrong. Could not get car in neutral even after releasing the shift inner lock. It had to be towed to my house.
A recall was performed in 2015 regarding a timing chain failure. This car sat in a dealer lot for an extended period of time. I purchased the vehicle and rarely drive it. A timing chain failure stalled me in the middle of the interstate. A chronic issue according to most forums, even after the recall was performed. The car has less than 73,000 miles on it and should not have failed regardless of months,of the fact that it was more than 24 months. It is a very low mileage car for the year and this is on ongoing issue from these vehicles from 2009-2012.
In November and December of 2017 and again in January 2018 and series of power-train gear changing while driving occurred while on interstate I-20 and 285 and 85 and generally around town which caused to have to pull over and call a tow truck or park until the issue would stop. The vehicles was taken to don jackson and landmark and liithia springs Chrysler Jeep and no one to this point has repaired it. This continues to cause me to have to pull over on the side of the road becomes the car begins to change gears with no reason at all at high speeds. On 4-27-19 don jackson Chrysler performed a recall and work on the computer and since then my car cruise control comes on and goes off when ever wnats to as well the radio and dash display flickers. The cruise control is alarming because I am driving at low speeds on the roads and car suddenly speeds up with out my depressing the or increasing the gas pedal. I took the vehicle back to the dealer and they told me I could not see the technician until may 10, 2019. This matter all together points to a life safety issue and I would ask and hope your organization could send a engineer and access this vehicle. The deals have said to me while the car the was new that they would not provide a loaner of go to any expense to solve the issues. Please advise.

Rear end has gone out twice and again is howling. When using paddle shifters the right side is to upshift, it often downshifts instead. Dodge has changed out paddle shifters 3 seperate occasions but issue continues. Its an abrupt downshift while in motion trying to upshift. This is a continuous issue that happens often.
When the vehicle is started for the day or when sitting for 8 plus hours the first few shifts are delayed. Leaving from home is not as big of a deal, as when I leave from work. My office exit crosses a 3 lane road with traffic speed limit of 45 mph. Expecting the vehicle to move without delay trying to cross traffic is dangerous and I was almost hit by cross traffic because of the delay. Dealer has checked transmission and states everything is normal.
Oct. 30,2018 wile making a 15 mph. Left turn on to las vegas blvd. In my 2013dodge Challenger sxt. I experienced the car shutting off and loss of all power I decided to let the car cost to a stop however instead of the car stopping it julted forward and turned back on. Went 300 ft. And made another left turn again the car shut off . This time it did not turn on. No warring light ever appeared. Now 2 hours latter the car cranks but will not turn over. System says "ok". Absolutly no warring lights are on.

Driving, on a city street when going to make a turn onto highway. When I attempted to change gears, the shifter handle bracket broke away from transmission and shifter handle fell to the side. This is a 6 speed manual transmission.
After driving the car for several miles, my wife pulled into a shopping center from the right lane of traffic when the car's transmission seemed to just shut off. The dash display informed her to put the shift lever into park and then select the disire gear. Luckly there were no cars directly behind her when the car came to a stop. Shei selected park and then drive which seemed to resolve the issue after this unwarrented and scarry insident. The car has 13816 miles and is still under warenty. She has made a dealer appointment, but was told they have no prior knowledge of such events making it unclear if the dealer will be able to resolve such incident.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that while driving at any speed, the vehicle did not accelerate and also when the gear was put in reverse, the vehicle did not reverse. The abs, the anti traction and the check-engine lights illuminated. The contact called the b&b automotive of fairless hills dealer (215-392-6326, located at 394 Lincoln hwy, fairless hills, PA 19030) and was told that there was no warranty. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000. Fe.
I was traveling to work on a busy, 3-lane road. I was in the far-right lane sitting at a red light, waiting to continue straight. When the light turned green, my car just shut off and the display informed me to put my car in p (park) and then back into the desired gear. I put my flashers on and coasted into the closest parking lot of the right side of the road, where I turned my car off and then started it back up again. After restarting the car, there seemed to be no further problems. This was an extremely scary situation for me and I was thankful to be in the far right lane when it happened, thankful I was at a complete stop when it happened, and thankful nobody was injured. This is a serious problem that Dodge needs to address and get fixed. A recall needs to be placed for the safety of those on the roads.
New vehicle was brought into dealer twice prior to reaching 15k miles. Brakes were adjusted, but said to be functioning as designed. Vehicle has long stops in city driving especially after long periods of time when the brakes have not been used, when there is no pressure in the line. The car was re-assigned a new star case by fca Dodge 58387971, from customer service rep "sarah" at extension 3020683. 1 appointment was set up to bring back to the dealer, but when I could not male the appt. She closed the case and sent me no notice. The transmission also has shifting issues and bangs in and out of gear at low or high speeds at all times, when the car has been, or has not been driven. I have leased or bought 7 cars from Chrysler / Dodge in the last ten years and have never been treated so poorly. I did ask that they take the car back as the first incident occurred within 3k miles where I nearly re-ended someone at very low speeds under 20 mph because of the car's defective stopping distance. Instead Dodge told me to go through my state's lemon law. I am asking for assistance from the NHTSA. I am asking that they contact Dodge fca customer care directly at 1 844 827 2006 and speak to sarah at extension 3020683. The transmission is very clunky as well. It slams into a lower gear so hard it lurches the vehicle backwards from third to second gear. This vehicle was a present to myself after surviving colon cancer, but it's a nightmare that Dodge doesn't want to hear about and wants to do nothing to resolve. First repair order was 08 29 2018 (purchased in July 2018), second repair order was March 21 2019. Third repair order was scheduled in may 2019, but needed to be rescheduled. Dodge closed my star case as a result of me canceling the appt. With the dealership.
The vehicle suddenly started smoking, immediately followed by fire while I was stopped at a red light in the middle of town. My 2013 Dodge Challenger only had 20,000 miles on it, and all service was done as recommended by Dodge, at a certified shop. I reported the issue to Dodge, and they denied any manufacturing defect, despite the fact that there is a recall for my model, because of known issues regarding alternators overheating, or short circuiting, causing thermal diode fatigue. The car was consumed by flames within minutes, and was deemed a total loss by my insurance company. I have not yet received a settlement.
Accelerated / stuck to floor going down highway. Would not shut off. The throttle was stuck would not release. This happened while we were passing another vehicle.
Windows going up and down about 1/8 inch as if the door is being opened and closed , its causing the battery to die and fail. I read up on this and unfourtunately a Dodge owners are having the same issue. Someone seems to thinks its the latch which has been a problem solver for most customers . There should be a recall in place for both 2011and 2012 Dodge owners for window latch defect.
The vehicle was in motion on the highway. The vehicle unexceptdly stopped accelerating on the highway causing me to put my hazard lights on as cars were in iin motion at a 70mph speed limit. I was able to pull over on the side of the road. I turned the car off in an attempt to turn the car back on. The car wouldn't turn back on and the car became disabled. I had to have my car towed.
The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Challenger. The contact experienced difficulty with shifting to and from second gear, and the vehicle overheated and stalled several times without warning. An independent mechanic replaced the transmission seals, but was unable to determine a remedy to provide a permanent solution. The failure continued to progress and the vehicle was towed to martin Dodge Jeep Chrysler ram (2209 scottsville rd, bowling green, ky 42104-4105, (270) 846-0600) to be diagnosed. The contact mentioned that the dealer replaced the computer once, but the computer failed again and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that further diagnostic testing was required and the part may no longer be available to replace the computer again. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 54,000.
Car sticks in gear when parked or driving. Snychs replaced at 41k now at 49k clutch plate now needs replacing. This vehicle has almost caused accidents as I could not get it in/ out of gear while driving.
My car lost complete power while turning in a residential area. The vehicle is dead and will not start. The vehicle shut down with no warning. This has happen several times. The local Dodge dealer had it 2 weeks an could not determine why.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Challenger. While accelerating from a stop, the vehicle hesitated and unknown warning sensors illuminated. Also, when turning the vehicle, it seemed as if it would shut off. Lastly, when switching gears, the vehicle hesitated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (miami lakes automall, 16600 NW 57th Ave, miami lakes, FL, 33014) to be serviced for an unknown alternator recall. The contact was informed of the failure, but no diagnosis was provided. The manufacturer was not contacted or made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Issue #1 vehicle loses all power while stationary on a city street with no indication or warning. This has happened twice while waiting to enter the intersection. The car turns off completely and says to place car in park. Issue #2 this issue always occurs while accelerating from a stationary state; vehicle jumps with little pressure on gas, then power dips down, then back up over and over. The car resembles a bucking rodeo horse when this happens. It has happened several times while making a left hand turn across oncoming traffic and is a safety issue in that a power dip in the middle of an intersection inhibits the cars ability to clear an intersection safely.
