1 Vsa Warning Light On problem of the 2015 Dodge Challenger

Failure Date: 03/30/2019

While operating normally, approximately 35-65 mph both highway and county roads, on the way to work, the service abs & stability control system warning lights came in, steering and braking were affected. Brake system started pulsing and steering system vibrated. 20 seconds later, went away. On the way home, it repeated this 4x within 35 miles of travel. Went to dealership the next day for issue. They claimed it to be a faulty wheel speed sensor. Replaced sensor. 49,575 miles at time of service. A $42 part ended up costing $310 to get fixed. This is a dangerous thing to happen to fairly new car. Car has never seen snow or salt. Garage kept in winter months. This affected the braking and steering systems. 2 of the most important systems on a vehicle in order to operate safely on the road. I am the 3rd person I know of who's had this same issue with the same year Dodge. This should be a factory recall on all the sensors for these systems to be replaced.

2 Vsa Warning Light On problem of the 2018 Dodge Challenger

Failure Date: 03/03/2019

I was driving down the highway at about 80-83 mph. I was getting off on an exit in boise idaho when I stepped on my break to slow down my cruise control turned off but I was not able to break. The breaks locked up and I was not able to stop which made me go through the red light and get t-boned I had taken my car to get fixed twice before at the Dodge dealership. The first one I took it to was the twin falls dealership they couldn't fix it so I took it to the burley idaho where they said they fixed it. My electronic stability control light would turn on which would cause my steering wheel to lock up I would not be able to use my breaks or acceleration petal for about 30-40 seconds after that it would reset and my would work fine.

3 Vsa Warning Light On problem of the 2012 Dodge Challenger

Failure Date: 03/22/2015

About 2. 5 miles from home, my car began to make a humming/whining sound when I would push on the accelerator. I began to panic and called my dad using the u-connect bluetooth hands free system. About 1 or 2 minutes into the call, I lost power to the radio. Then the abs light and the stability control lights began flashing on and off. The odometer stopped reading my speed and all needles on the dash spiked then fell flat showing no readings at all. As I continued to roll down the hill, I started to smell melting/burning. I tried to roll down the window and hand no power. The car finally died when I pulled into my neighborhood to enter the gate code. My car then blocked the entire entrance to complex until I could get it towed. There was an alternator recall I was not made aware of, yet the dealership had it noted on my account. (thanks for telling me. ) and then the battery was so corroded that I needed to replace the battery, positive cable, and rewire. The alternator costs were covered but I am out almost 1200$ on the rest.

4 Vsa Warning Light On problem of the 2012 Dodge Challenger

Failure Date: 12/29/2014

Driving to work. Car starts to make a whining noise then the abs and stability control lights come on, I drive the car up the road a little more and the radio turns off and the gauges start to move erratically and then the car just died, completely in the middle of the road, when the hood was raised you could clearly smell something burning. Car taken to the dealership where I am told that the "parts to provide a permanent remedy for this condition are not currently available". I was told by the dealership that the alternator would be replaced with a new one but it would fall into the same category as the recall. I got the car home and while reading the repair paperwork realize that the alternator was not replaced just "repaired and replaced". Very upset and scared to drive this vehicle! not to even mention how upset about being lied to by the dealership. Could go on and on about this bad experience!!.
