1 Brake Antilock Control Unit/module problem

Failure Date: 02/12/2008

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving 30 mph during inclement weather the brakes locked. The contact notice a recall regarding the service brakes, hydraulic: antilock: control unit, module but the manufacturer informed the contact that the VIN did not apply to the recall. The contact was concerned that the VIN was not included since the vehicle has experienced the identical failure. The failure mileage was 44,000.

2 Brake Antilock Control Unit/module problem

Failure Date: 09/26/2007

Failure of the antilock brakes and power steering resulting in an accident where another vehicle got hit from behind. The gauge cluster died upon impact. This was a rental car from enterprise and the customer before had just turned in the vehicle because she was having problems with the brakes and steering. Enterprise refused to document the incident as per that customer and then proceeded to give the vehicle to my son five minutes later. This vehicle has been recalled for abs control module software issues that may cause rear brakes to lock up. Chrysler says that not this VIN number.
