1 Ignition Coils Failure problem

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced severe vibration coming from the engine compartment. The check engine and throttle control warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that there was a faulty ignition coil and the engine misfired. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 177,000.

2 Ignition Coils Failure problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while backing out of the drive way that the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle had a bad ignition coil and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact also stated that while at the dealer to retrieve the vehicle,the doors began to unlock/lock independently. The vehicle was left with the dealer where it was diagnosed that a fuse had become inoperable and needed to be changed. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that shortly after that, while driving at 70 mph, the vehicle started to jerk. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the ignition coil had become inoperable again. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was unknown.
