The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the vehicle was involved in a crash. While stopped at a light, the contact stated that the display on the instrument panel indicated that the vehicle was in park, but the vehicle was actually in drive. The vehicle then rolled backward and the contact lost control. The vehicle crashed into a pole as a result. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also stated that he performed research and found out that the failure could have been a result of the column shifter linkage. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure.
