Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the engine stalled numerous times while driving at 25 mph and the vehicle drifted, the steering wheel light and the traction light illuminated when the failure occurred. The contact was able avoid a crash. The contact was able to move vehicle into service station and was able to drive the vehicle home. The contact also advised that the vehicle was taken to jim snatcher motors 511 calhoun street, johnson, SC, 29832, phone (803) 275-2576 to have recall NHTSA campaign number 17v435000 (alternator) replaces. However, the repair did not correct the failure. The vehicle was towed to an unknown mechanic to have a diagnostic performed and the mechanic advised that the alternator was not provinding the correct amount of amp. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 129,49. Li.

2 Engine Stall problem

Failure Date: 08/27/2017

The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Charger. While driving 35 mph, the engine stalled without warning. The contact pulled over to the side of the road. The contact restarted the vehicle and noticed that the battery warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact drove home and the engine stalled. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (evans arena Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram, 924 shiloh springs rd, dayton, OH 45415) where it was confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy until March of 2018. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v435000 (electrical system); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was contacted at 800-992-1997 and confirmed that the parts were to become available only in March of 2018. The approximate failure mileage was 95,500. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

3 Engine Stall problem

Failure Date: 03/09/2013

3/9/13 - vehicle in for oil change. Battery saver mode message displayed on dash 2 miles down the road. Pulled over to check owner's manual which states immediate vehicle service required. To airpark Dodge dealership approx 7 miles down the road and power steering failure and then engine stalls while making left turn through intersection. Had both my children ages 2 and 5 in the vehicle at the time and thankfully no on coming traffic during the turn. 3/12/13 - alternator and battery replaced at airpark Dodge. 4/23/13 (35,690 miles) - vehicle back to airpark Dodge for another battery saver mode message. Source could not be found, no repairs made. 7/25/14 (47,900 miles) - battery saver mode message, no dash lights, no a/c, no power steering, no headlights while doing 30 mph. Vehicle to airpark Dodge again on 7/29/14.
