Brakes Failed problems of the 2014 Dodge Charger

1 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 12/11/2016

The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 15 mph and approaching an intersection, the instrument panel lights illuminated and flickered off and on. In addition, when the brake pedal was applied the brake and steering failed, the brake pedal went down to the floorboard and the vehicle crashed into the rear of a tractor trailer. The contact stated that there was a sulfur odor and the air bags had not deployed. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic. The front grill, fender, bumper cover, head lamp and radiator assembly, horn, one fog lamp, air cleaner assembly, air conditioner condenser and the hood were replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v739000 (electrical system). A police report was filed. Injuries were sustained and medical attention was required. The approximate failure mileage was 17,093.

2 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2016

The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Charger. While approaching a red light and depressing the brake pedal, the brakes failed to engage and the contact's vehicle rolled into the rear of another vehicle. A police report was filed and no injuries were sustained. The failure occurred on several occasions. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
