Abs module needs to be replaced and they stopped making the part. Lights are on all the time with no cruise control and the advanced brake system no longer works. Nobody has the part. They do not make it anymore.
At 65 mph with the adaptive cruse on, all of a sudden, the fcw light came on and almost rear ended the car in front of me. I lost antilock, cruse, and fcw. I also have less brake pedal. Took to Dodge dealer in emporia KS. Said anti-lock brake hydraulic control unit was bad. Part #68236997aa. Dodge discontinued and no aftermarket replacement. I am probably not the only person with this safety problem.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed that multiple warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the abs module had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The mechanic referred the contact to a local dealer for further assistance. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer informed the contact that there was a waiting list for other vehicles to be serviced for the abs module failure due to limited parts. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 118,585.
My abs, brake & esc lights all came on at the same time on my dash. Took my car to a reputable mechanic and they told me that my abs module needed to be replaced but they were no longer available. So now I have to drive my car and worry about my brakes locking up if I have to come to a sudden stop for some reason since the anti-lock brakes are not working.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 mph, the abs warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but had become a recurring failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the abs module and the brake booster pump needed to be replaced. The contact was informed by the mechanic that the parts were no longer available from the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
When I put the vehicle in park it says its not in park.
My brakes went out on me and couldn't stop. My engine has been overheating and making a weird ticking noise. The front suspension is loose and has caused me to hydroplane on the highway and slide.
When attempting to apply brakes, the pedal sunk to the floor with no result. On subsequent attempts, the left front brake activated and locked up while there was no apparent effect on the other 3 wheels. The car veered to the left as a result of the one brake being applied, and began to travel down the road at an angle of about 45 degrees. Correction was required to steer out, the brake remained locked up and not responding to the pedal. Automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning systems did not activate and my vehicle collided with the one ahead. Awd seemed to activate just prior to the collision, which assisted in correcting the brake lockup. Inspection of the vehicle seems to indicate electrical issues caused a brake booster fault, and likely caused failure of the emergency braking systems to activate. These issues first appeared the day of the accident, no error messages or trouble codes were present. It appears the braking system is faulty, due to electronic controls, seemingly. The car is available for inspection. The left front rotor is scored deeply and the artifacts on the asphalt indicate that the left front tire was dragging/skidding up to the point of impact.
When I bought the car all brake lights were on. I took it to landers and they diagnosed the problem as a bad abs control module and another part connected to it. I'm unable to use cruise control and my traction control is off as well. The warning lights will occasionally go off but they are usually on. Also the manufacturer has discontinued the parts I need so I can't get them to fix the issues.
Car still rolls when parking and/or parked. And safety recall repairs aren’t.
Car has challenges stopping safely and the suspension is secured properly. Even after inspection still no satisfactory condition.
Car has approximately 90,000 miles. Driving on interstate at highway speed, car suddenly popped 3 lights; traction control, abs, and the parking brake indicator. Repair shop has diagnosed as the abs module needing replacement. There are no other symptoms besides the warning lights and cruise control not working. At this time I have no way of knowing if any of these systems have actually failed since the abs module has shut off these systems.
Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled in the middle of the road due to the alternator failed. No warning lights illuminated. The contact also stated that the parking brake does not give a warning to put the gear shifter in park. The vehicle was to towed to arrigo Dodge chrylser Jeep ram sawgrass dealer, (5901 madison Ave, tamarac, FL 33321, (954) 626-8811) and was diagnosed that the alternator and electrical failed and needed to be repaired. On highway going 65mph. Car steering lost control and pulled sharp right off road. Could not steer or brake. All lights on panel were lit up. Road in the ditch at 65mph and ramped a driveway and still couldn't steer or brake. Finally car came to a stop on its own or due to impact and high brush in the ditch.
"takata recall" my emergency brake comes on by itself without even being pushed down on and slows my car down then my shifter sounds like its sticking and then my dashboard starts blinking.
Was driving on a clear day when, my traction control went on and off by itself and the abs went off by itself causing me to lose control, it was hard to pull over with the abs going on and off on their own. Awd system also went on and off on its own. Brought car to dealer the very next morning they kept car the whole day and was told it was fine and that they got no codes. I had test the car for codes after the incident had taken place and I got the following coeds. U0415 abs, c147b front axle disconnected sensor. Yet the dealer gave me the car that I still under warranty back, with their own invoice stating no codes. I test the car for codes when I got from the car dealer and some of the codes were cleared, expect for abs u0415. The car is clearly not fine and the awd system is still not working the way it should. Also the car when park rolls everything time about a foot forward or back pending on slope of street. The road was a four lane road with two lanes east and two lanes west and I was going straight at about 35 mph, as I had just recently left from a red light.
After hitting a dip going into a parking lot had to press brakes all the way to the floor this has happened at least 3 times after hitting a dip or hump brakes disengage and neeeds to be pressed to floor to stop speed was about 10mph or under.
It has electrica problems, specially on lights. The reverse light stays on even the car is on park or turned off. The notification light keeps staying on everytime even though the problem is already fix. The tire pressures keeps on going down everyday.
I'm still having, (battery saver mode light coming on). And now I'm worried about the ("takata recall"). I've taken my Dodge Charger back to Dodge dealership for service today, 11/16/17, as the (abs) & (traction control) lights both were on. And as I was driving my car to the dealership I tried to set my cruise control at 75 mph as I was on I-77 south, but I couldn't get it to set at any speed. Today 11/17/2017 my repair bill is $350. 00 dollars + a car payment and hopefully I can get home with the alternator issues. I'm tired of paying for something that I'm afraid to drive anywhere I need to go. This Dodge belongs to a family of 4 including myself, can someone please help me get something done ASAP I think I have a beautiful vehicle and I don't really want to trade it just because of the no parts available, as my luck would be, the parts would be available the same month as I traded cars.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Charger. While driving 35 mph, the rpm gauges malfunctioned and the contact heard an abnormal popping sound. As a result, the contact lost power steering, brake functionality, the exterior lighting malfunctioned, and the vehicle could not be shifted into park. The various warning indicators illuminated. The prestigue Chrysler dealer was contacted, but did not offer any assistance. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
I always bring my car to rancho Chrysler Jeep Dodge on 8010 balboa avenue san diego, CA 92111 regarding the "batter saver mode". I've had this car for almost 2 years and have gone in several times about this issue. They replaced the battery/alternator at least that's what I was told and the "battery saver mode" still comes on. The issue is if you turn off the car it goes away. I was informed to bring it back in if the "battery saver mode" comes back on but if the place isn't opened that's impossible to do so. I would like this to be fixed, my car cuts off at times when I start it and drive off in the morning when it's colder and this has been happening for years which this was reported to the car company as well.
While driving and preparing to turn my vehicle took control and I was no longer able to break or turn. Thankfully there was nobody in the neighbor at the time and with less than a foot from hitting the stop sign I was able to stop. I took it to the dealer where I purchased (1. 5 years prior)and they said nothing was wrong just needed a new battery. I insisted this was not the issue so the manager had his associate test drive to come to the same conclusion the steering and brake system is fine. Not happy I left after purchasing the battery and here we are 1. 5 weeks later with the same issue. I tried to drive out of work yesterday and I lost control to my steering and it locked. I put my car in park and tried once more the same thing happened, I then try to restart but it would not allow me to do so. I had to disconnect the battery and it started. Not feeling safe for my life I left the car at work and still do not want to drive it. From what I am reading I am not the only 2014 Dodge Charger having this issue. I need this fixed if I was on the freeway who knows what would have happened.

Two of the lights on the instrument cluster warning were on:esc(electronic stability control) and abs. I took my car for service at the dealer and I was told to leave it for repairs. After four days I received a phone call which I got informed that the replacement part was out of stock and it need to be order and they told me that even though the car needed repairs it was safe to drive it until the part arrives. After two weeks, I visited again the dealer and the part was not there and now and I have to wait and I also needed to be place in a waiting list in which I would have number 254 (those are the amount of cars which needs to replaced the same part). In my last visited to the dealer I informed that the car is worse because now it has strange vibration when pressing the brake and makes noise. After all this issues is very hard for me and I can feel safe driving the car.
The emergency brake doesn't work. This is the second time I need to take it in because the emergency brake doesn't work properly.
