The gas peddle got stuck and will not let me stop causing me to hit someone.

While driving odometer was changing display between km /hr and miles distracting and resulted in speeding ticket and potential for higher risk of accident. Confusing 90 km or miles on investigation,both units on settings or custom it could change by unknowingly hitting left arrow and ok on steering wheel from miles to km viceversa. Accelerator pedal was delayed coming back up when pressed. It is available for inspection. Because of this happening while I was parking the car, it collided with a tree about 20 feet in front of it. I’ve also noticed the car will sometimes accelerate on its own at speeds below 20 mph. I am taking the vehicle to a body shop on Monday to get fixed and be inspected.
