My airbag light came on my 2017 Charger and I took it to the dealership. The dealership informed me that the seatbelt pretensioner needed to be replaced. The issue posses as a safety risk due to this device pulls a seat belt tight if there is a sudden movement or stop. A seat belt tensioner main factor increases the passenger protection afforded by the safety belts in the case of an accident. I called my extended warranty company and they informed me that they do not cover safety vehicle issues. (I have the preferred policy). I then called Dodge manufacture warranty and stated the concern I had being it was a safety issue and the representative atacha stated they will not be able to cover repairs due to there has been no recall even though I express the concern of it being a safety related risk.

In 2015 I had issues with the seat belt alarm on the vehicle going off, stating that passenger and driver seatbelts weren’t buckled. I would get a airbag flashing light stating per manual that the airbags were not activated. Fast forward to July 2015, I had gotten a recall letter for a orc (occupant restraint module) which affects airbags and seatbelts. I brought in the car to get it fixed per recall. Fast forward to about 2 years later, the same issue had occurred. Airbag light would still pop up and stating that seats belt in the car wasn’t engaged. Brought it in to get it checked out at a local mechanic shop, they couldn’t fix it and stated I need to go to the dealership. They noted that it was affected by the recall of the orc module. Brought in the car to cutter Dodge in pearl city oahu and they fixed it, at this time I was still covered by warranty. Fast forward to around 2019 I moved to maui, the same exact issue occurred. Brought it into my friends mechanic shop and he had said the same thing that it’s an orc module and to bring it to jim falk Dodge in kahului. Explained to them the issue and they said that they need to replace the orc module for over $700. I explained to them that this is the same issue occurring with the recall. Why would I need to pay for a faulty recall fix which is affecting me and my families safety where the airbags won’t deploy in an accident which could cause death because the module in the recall wasn’t fixed properly the first time.

I purchased a 2008 Dodge Charger v8 hemi gold from thrifty motors inc. And I was under the impression according to the contract that the car had 113,440 miles on it. I look at the inspection sticker and it shows 114,000 on 11/1/2018. I look at the 2008 Dodge Charger gold vehicle history report on instavin and I found that on 11/26/2018 the car was sold at an auction with 113,437 miles on it.
The right rear seat belt became locked out while unbuckled during a stop at a restaurant. We returned to the car to find it wouldn't release so we could buckle up to continue our journey. We tried loosening the small part that was on a booster seat and it retracted but still refused to release. The seat belt is unusable at the moment. Will visit a dealer.

I was speeding about 80mph and hit the breaks and my seat belt locked when I stopped and it never unlock I had to get emergency to come and cut off my seat belt and my steering wheel locked up.
Sometimes when I get in my vehicle and attempt to buckle my seat belt it doesn't properly lock in place. I've had this issue over 3 months. Sometimes it work and sometimes I have to attempt at least 20 times. Dealership wants to charge$175 judy to check it out.
Takata recall there's multiple recalls that are wrong with my car but not described under my searches VIN attached is screen shots of the exact ones. I need these things fixed please and thank you. It won't allow me to click any other boxes but attached are the issues. The altinatar is affecting my battery now as well.
I was forced to pay $589. 96 to have the seat belt latches replaced because either of the front seat belts would fasten. The vehicle is a 2011 Charger r/t. There was a recall on this particular model related to the seat belts. I have owned other vehicles well beyond 10 years and never had a problem with the seat belts. This is a manufacturers problem and I should be reimbursed. Work was completed at a Dodge dealership. In addition, I had to get a rental for four days, for this is a safety issue.
Tl- takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the independent facility ganas auto southgate (4730 firestone blvd southgate, CA 90280, 1-323-364-5004) who sold the vehicle, made no mention that there had been 4 recalls concerning NHTSA campaign numbers: 16v043000 (structure), 16v240000 (power train), 15v467000 (air bags and seat belts) and 16v352000 (air bags). The contact stated that on 04/19/18 (Thursday) while driving approximately 35 mph, there was a sudden loss of power, the vehicle veered to the right accelerating at a high rate of speed, the brake pedal was applied with force, the brake pedal failed to respond and the contact crashed on the side of the road. The driver sustained head injuries due to no air bag deployment, back pains, arm pains, chest pains and lost conscience. The driver was transported to a hospital to receive further medical treatment. A police report was filed. None of the air bags deployed and the contact was uncertain as to which failure may or may not have been related to the 4 recalls because the contact was not made aware of the recall campaigns when the vehicle was sold and had not been notified by us mail from the manufacturer. The vehicle was towed to a yard and then towed back to the independent facility. The vehicle has not been inspected and diagnosed by an authorized dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and the crash months after the crash. The contact was waiting for a response from the manufacturer. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.
Takata recall. The seatbelt, once buckled, will not unfasten unless you repeatedly yank at the belt itself. There was repeated clicking in the engine and I could not exceed over 45mph. When the heat is turned on in the car the cool a/c blows on the drivers side of the car and when I tried to adjust the temperature on driver side of car I am unable to do that.

Driver seat belt retractor is stuck and can not pull out to buckle. Seat reline does not come back up it will til back but must pull hard to bring upright.
Driver seat belt latch difficult to disengage completely. Only way to disengage is by jamming the latch in, with force, while holding the push button down. This allows latch to fully engage, and retry the push button. Three to five attempts will release latch mechanism. Vehicle was stationary problem first started December 2016. Still awaiting response.
Seat belt malfunction. Driver side seat belt malfunctions from time to time, where it does not release when pushed to disengage. It seems to get stuck in the middle, but the button also somewhat stuck in halfway position and only remedy is to push the buckle back in and try to to push to release. Minimum of 3 attempts before it actually releases. Obviously in a parked position when this occurs. But besides frustrating, time consuming. . . It can be quite dangerous when per say your alternator catches fire and you cant seem to unbuckle your seatbelt. . . Or any tyoe of accident where taking off your seat belt is crucial to your survival. Or another example, unable to exit vehichle when instructed to do so by law inforcment. Although quite extreme examples, such do occur.

We were driving on the interstate and my five year old son was quiet all of a sudden. He was sitting behind the drivers seat in a booster seat, seat belted in. He managed to grab the center shoulder strap of the center seat belt and wrapped it around his neck. He had begun to struggle trying to free himself and the seat belt tightened. I called 911 and at the same time was waving cars over to see if anyone has a knife I could use to cut it. Finally a gentlemen pulled over with a knife and I cut the belt to free my son.
