I had my 82 year old mother in the car on passenger side and the seat belt just locked tight on her and before I could get somewhere to pull over it hac cut a gash under her left arm. Her skin is very thin and she is diabetic. . Then on a seperate incident it did the same thing to me when my husband was driving. It scared me to death.
The driver's side seat belt fails to retract completely, causing the metal clip to get caught in the door well when the door is closed. The clip wedges the door shut and the door cannot be opened from inside, trapping the driver inside the car. The door can be opened from outside with considerable effort. Dents remain in the door well as evidence of the clip wedging the door shut. This has happened 4 times. Date of the first incidence and mileage are estimated.

The first week I got my car the brake light came on while I was driving. My car was ordered for me and took a little over two months to be delivered. The brake light comes on, flashes and then goes off at unpredictable times. I have taken it to the dealer 4 times but they never put that complaint on my sheet. They keep saying the computer isn't showing anything wrong. I also had a problem with the car keyless entries not working, they replaced the door handles and now they work. The car has also locked me out on three separate occasions. Once with my 1 year old son inside and the key was inside as well, had to jimmy door to get in. Also my seatbelt sticks. If I drive over 20 minutes I have to unlock lock and unlock again to get my seatbelt to open.
In the last year I have had to have the front tie rods replaced three time. At certain speeds my vehicle will vibrate. Going over speed bumps or into even the slightest pot hole the vehicle will vibrate. When slowing down or coming to a stop the front end will vibrate. Took the vehicle to the dealership and they advised my front tires needed to be changed and/or rotated to the back due to an unusual wearing on the tires. The wear was on the outisde of the tires. The gear shifter was in park position and there it stayed was unable to shift gear to anything and had to take the console around the lever apart to shift gears. And the brakes squeak all the time even after having them replaced and the rotors replaced as well as the struts. When the car is sitting in idle, the lights dims as though there is a shotrage in the electrical system. I let my 17yr old daughter drive my car to school and when she got to a red light the engine shut off. This is dangerous, so I dont let her drive the car anymore. My seatbelt light stays on & beeps when the seatbelt is connected. These are all safety issues & Chrysler should be held accountable. These issues needs to be addressed.
The front passenger seat belt was locked into the buckle and would not release then locking clip. Passenger was trapped in the vehicle because of the seat belt. Could not take it directly to dealership to have them help release it. It was after hours and could not wait until the next morning when they open. I had to cut the belt to release the passenger. Luckily I am a police officer and had a seat belt cutter. The vehicle is a 2007 Dodge Charger police package. If there had been an accident with a fire, the passenger would have been trapped a died. Took the vehicle to the dealership the next morning. They stated there was nothing they could do because there is no warranty for seat belts and it would cost me $456. 00 to have it fixed.
