Two problems related to service brakes have been reported for the 1997 Dodge Dakota. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Locked vehicle in four wheel drive high, started going through flat pasture, either brakes locked up or front pumkin turned up and locked front wheels up, lost control and rolled onto driver side.
The vehicle's ball joints were bad. The vehicle's front brakes also had to be replaced. The consumer learned of a recall for balljoints. The consumer was told by a servce rep that his vehicle was not included in the recall due to the model year.
