Two problems related to wiring have been reported for the 1997 Dodge Dakota. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Broken wires in the steering column, causing the lights to become inoperable. Dealer has been notified. Owner has had the wiring fixed by a private mechanic.
Rear wiring harness is pinched between frame and the bed assembly which has caused an electrical problem. Consumer has contacted dealer. The dealer soldered the three broken wires.
