One problem related to door has been reported for the 2000 Dodge Dakota. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving, locking mechanism malfunctioned, electric locking system grinds upon locking, once locked, they can not be unlocked, even with key. Took vehicle to dealer. Problem has not been remedied as of yet.
