Tire Tread/belt problems of the 2000 Dodge Dakota

1 Tire Tread/belt problem

Failure Date: 03/30/2005

A loud noise came from the rear of the vehicle, and vehicle shook uncontrollably. Driver pulled over, and noticed that the right rear passenger tire tread separated from the wheel, and the tire damaged the under carriage of the truck. Driver was able to change the tire, and took it to the dealership. Mechanic claimed that a cause could not be determined at this time. Daytona radial 31q05r. 15lt .

2 Tire Tread/belt problem

Failure Date: 08/08/2001

Consumer was traveling about 65mph on highway and felt vibration. Rear passenger's tire tread separated from vehicle. He was able to control vehicle. Goodyear tire, p265r/15.
