Two problems related to steering gear box sector shaft have been reported for the 2002 Dodge Dakota. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Nar 05/21/2003 the consumer experienced problems with gear shifts. Dealer notified.
When making a left turn there was a popping noise in the steering. Dealership replaced the steering shaft sector, rack and pinion, and upper and lower ball joints.
