Two problems related to wheel cover/hubcaps have been reported for the 2002 Dodge Dakota. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Front wheel hub failed on 2002 Dodge ram truck resulting complete loss of hydraulic brake system, both front and rear brakes. Wheel remained on truck and truck continued to roll without means of stopping.
A banging noise was coming from underneath the vehicle. The driver pulled over and the noise stopped. While driving, the noise escalated repeatedly. The consumer was able to drive to a mechanic. The mechanic informed the driver that the hub assembly needed to be replaced please provide additional information. Tire was barely attached.
