One problem related to constant velocity joint has been reported for the 2005 Dodge Dakota. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Boots for front cv joints are very noisy when the wheel is turned all the way either direction. I took it to two different dealers and they sprayed some silicone lubricant on them which quieted them for abour 4 days. . Then they were loud again. I'm worried that the dry boots will eventually crack, leaking out the grease and destroying the cv joint itself. (which Chrysler will blame on me).
