Vehicle Shudder problems of the 2006 Dodge Dakota

Two problems related to vehicle shudder have been reported for the 2006 Dodge Dakota. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Vehicle Shudder problem

Failure Date: 09/10/2010

2006 Dakota automatic transmission shifts in to od at 40 mph and below, which causes vehicle to vibrate loudly and suddenly slow down. When ignored, the engine sounds like it will stall. I've taken this truck to local Dodge dealer (brigham - gill) in natick, MA for diagnosis and I was told this is "normal".

2 Vehicle Shudder problem

Failure Date: 01/21/2007

When traveling on the highway/expressway the automatic transmission does not seem to shift to the next gear. The vehicle begins to shake and vibrate very roughly and will not accelerate to the desired speed.
