The vehicle was destroyed and towed away. The current and failure mileages were 28,000. The consumer stated he was towing a boat out of the water. Failure Date: 08/01/2007

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Dakota. While slowing to stop the vehicle, the rpms suddenly increased and the vehicle experienced sudden acceleration. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on multiple occasions, but the failure could not be duplicated. The accelerator pedal was replaced, but the failure continued. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 100.
