Electronic Stability Control problem #4

"takata recall" the four wheel drive actuator tries shifting into 4 wheel drive even when I don't have the truck running. Also the stock stereo system will once in awhile turn on but now it won't and the acc will not work. My truck also tries to shift into 4 wheel drive while turning into my driveway or a parking space.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

The 4wd acuator engages constantly when the truck is not running. It seems to happen mostly when I unlock the doors and open them.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

I was driving and the lights started flashing and then they went all the way out and the dome light and keyless entry isn't working. It finally wouldn't start and so we bought a new battery, and the lights came on and then the next day the lights were off again. The battery that was in the truck was too small and we told the dealer and they said that the lights weren't working because we put a bigger battery in it, we put the right size battery. The other day we came home and the cargo lights were on by themself. I am afaraid to drive it for it catching on fire. We only had the truck 2 and half months. We paid $6300 for it.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

Numerous front end repairs to no avail. Still having steering issues and loud banging when turning. Wipers coming on at random, battery light on in spite of new battery and alternator. We have spent over $4000 in repairs on from end and 2 wiper motors. The wipers still will not work properly.

Electronic Stability Control problem #9

The contact owned a 2005 Dodge Dakota. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle independently began to sway. Within moments, the vehicle flipped over on its driver side. The front driver side air bag did not deploy. The vehicle was not diagnosed. It was unknown if injuries were sustained or if a police report was filed. The manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed. The VIN was unavailable. The failure mileage was 100,000.

Electronic Stability Control problem #10

I was driving east on a two lane road, as I heard a slight pop come from my driver side tire. Suddenly after that pop, their was a slip in the steering and I had noticed that my driver side tire started to lose massive control, thus jerking and locking up the truck in matters of seconds. Luckily drivers behind me were paying attention and swerved out of the way nearly missing the truck. I gained some control and pulled into a near by business. Parked I assessing the situation. It was found that the tie rod had fallen off the connection for know reason at all. The truck is only 3 years old and 51,000 miles, with regular maintenance.

Electronic Stability Control problem #11

While the vehicle is in the running and operational position, aka driving down the road, the key can be removed, by simply pulling it out of the ignition, and the vehicle will remain running, and then there is no way to shut the vehicle off. The ignition switch has been faulty since I bought the vehicle. I am amazed no one has been injured, and even more surprised no recalls for this issue.

Electronic Stability Control problem #12

2003 Dodge Dakota, 2wd, 5 spd manual, v6. At speeds from 15 mph and up the brake system seems to fail as the truck jumps and skids very rapidly. The first time this happened I was on the freeway, traffic came to a halt quickly, I applied the brakes and almost lost control and hit the car in front of me as this jumping and skidding occured. All parts on the truck are factory and have not been modified. I am concerned and wondering if this has anything to do with the front suspension clunking.
