My car cut off twice this morning, and almost didn't crank back up. Then my check engine light came on, so I took it by oreilly to get the engine tested. It showed that my throttle actuator control was bad. Prior to this it seemed like sometimes when I tried to change gears that it was sticking or something. It was almost as if it was switching gears properly. To top it off, I've had to replace all of my tires once, and a couple of them twice. Now today it appears I'll have to replace the back two a third time. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! I've been wondering if they just didn't let me know that the tires they were putting on were bad tires, possibly recall tires. I'm wondering because I've replaced tires way too many times, and one of the last times I went they told me they no longer had the type of tires that were on my car, because they decided to stop buying that brand. When I asked why, he fumbled around that and told me the place they (dealership) got them from (pep boys) no longer used those complaints.
The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle stalled and the check engine light illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle over to the side of the road. The contact restarted the vehicle and resumed driving. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was not configured properly and the oil pressure switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 17,398.
As I was driving, I slowed and braked for other vehicles at a traffic light. As I started to re-accelorate, I realized the car had stalled. When I got the car re-started, it was running very rough and the check engine, the traction control and the cruise control lights were all lit and/or flashing. After I got home, I decided to take it back to the dealer. This time, the car drove fairly normally with only the check engine light on. This is the third time this has happened in only 3600 miles. (the first time was at approx. 280 miles and the second time was at about 500 miles. ) the dealer's service writer implied since this car has an electronic throttle control, it was my driving style at fault. I have driven several other cars with electronic throttles for several years (my previous car had 120,000 miles on it) and this is the only time anything like this has happened.
