1 Clutch Pedal/linkage problem

Failure Date: 08/21/2020

Clutch pedal remains depressed intermittently on start up and while driving. Their is not enough pressure in the clutch master cylinder for adequate resistance or to raise the pedal to its standard position. There has been a class action loss suit related to this exact issue on 2013-2015 Dodge Darts but my dealership appears blissfully unaware of the issue. Start case# s1406000001 appears to directly call out this issue but none of the procedures were followed when inspecting my car for clutch related issues. The technical response was "maybe your mat was caught by the clutch pedal?" shortly after leaving the dealership I was unable to shift into first and the pedal was not raising. After 3-4 attempts I was able to get it to raise high enough to disengage and allow me to shift into second, thankfully I was close enough to my home I didnt need to go beyond 2nd gear but for there to be no acknowledgement from the dealership is appalling.

3 Clutch Pedal/linkage problem

Failure Date: 07/17/2019

Clutch pedal gets stuck close to the floor upon start up and clutch may not re-engage when up shifting. Happened on a busy city street as well as on the highway when trying to merge into the flow of traffic. This should have been a recall, as the second owner I was never notified and the time of the warranty expired although I am still under the mileage but they refuse to help me. I would have known it was not just driver error when it first happened summer of 2019 if I had been properly notified. Instead it was not until sept 27 2020 when the clutch pedal started sticking that I researched and found the info of the service bulletin. 4 dealerships had my car multiple times and none of them mentioned this either.

5 Clutch Pedal/linkage problem

Failure Date: 08/21/2018

The problem with the vehicle is that the clutch pedal goes straight to the floor and stays there, the only way to get it to the up position is to reach down or use your foot. The master cylinder of the brake system was below the minimum line. No brake warning light or any other warning/caution. The clutch went to the floor. The incident happened I was on a 7 lane city street during rush hour traffic I was driving and everything was normal. I was the first vehicle in line when I try to start going the clutch felt like it was slipping in first gear which is highly unusual for my vehicle because first gear has always been very touchy. . Shift to second gear in the clutch once again was slipping and the engine reved the vehicle did not accelerate properly. I was able to get it to go and I made it to the next traffic light. I was the second car from the intersection. When the light turned green I released the clutch and the gear engaged imeadiatly with the gear in first, the vehicle lurched forward and kept doing that about three times until the vehicle stalled out. Pushing in the clutch pedal did nothing it's stay stuck to the floor. In the mirror I see that the vehicle behind me almost ran into me and almost caused a huge pile up behind me because of the hesitation of my vehicle I was not able to move the vehicle out of the lane without help from a fellow citizen that was dangerous in itself. Once I got the vehicle to a safe place pushing it I checked under the hood and I see that the brake fluid reservoir on the master cylinder was empty. I check the fluids in my vehicle at least twice a week . Where did all that fluid go? I have been without my vehicle for a week or two now due to trying to figure out what to do because the car has 40, 000 miles on it so its out of warranty.

6 Clutch Pedal/linkage problem

Failure Date: 04/28/2018

Our 2015 Dodge Dart has only 18,700 miles on it and twice in the last 10 months while driving on a freeway, the clutch pedal was depressed in order to shift gears and the pedal stuck to the floor. The first time this happened in August 2017, the master cylinder was replaced at no cost to us. It just happened again on April 28, 2018, same scenario - driving on freeway, tried to shift - and we are told the clutch kit and throw out bearing needs to be replaced and Dodge is refusing to pay for it, saying it is normal wear and tear and not covered under warranty. And because it is different parts it is not covered under warranty of work in August 2017. I have seen many complaints of similar issues and even a couple of lawsuits. Even if repaired again, I am very concerned that this could happen again and am not comfortable driving this car outside of city streets. Dodge refuses to acknowledge this is a known issue nor do they say that my car is covered under an extended warranty on the hydraulic clutch that they issued in 2016.
