general problems of the 2015 Dodge Dart - part 2

I have been experiencing pretty much every recall that is on the list number one it started with my car check engine light coming on. And the codes that kept on coming up or for the plugs and coils. I would replace them and they would just go bad again in like a week it is causing my car to do what seems like it's misfiring. My tire light is stuck on when the tires are fine. The speed control stops working on and off. When I steer there's a loud clicking noise. Whenever I try to shift here lately sometimes it won't go into gear. When I turn on the ac it will cause the car to misfire and the only way to make it stop is to turn off the ac and restart the car sometimes three to four times before it stops messing up. Today the scariest thing of all happened I was pulling out of bronze and white smoke billowed out of the car tailpipes I'm not sure why. The car is also sporadically not going in gear when I am on the highway making me worry that me and my five kids are in danger due to someone raikkonen to me because my car will not go up to speed and will not shift into the right gear and misfires and will not go over like 30 miles per hour and putz. I replace parts and it seems to work well for a week or two but my car is not on the recall list they say that every single thing that is on the recall list is happening to my car. I don't know what to do about all of this I honestly you just think that Dart needs to take the car back. . Like recall it completely. This car has been nothing but trouble after the first year of driving it.

On two separate occasions two weeks apart my car lost complete power. The first time it happened I was parked in front of a restaurant I could not get the car to start and the second time it was after midnight I was leaving work and I turned into a major highway(thank god there wasn't and big trucks coming)cause as soon as I turned onto this highway my car lost all power and would not start. I work on a highway where there are about eight different truck stops who all service and provide fuel for eighteen wheelers I could have been killed.

My battery light came on going to work , left work battery light was out. Next day going thur a drive thur to get food battery light comes on again and car starts running rough like it wanted to stall out. Left to go home. Car would not run faster then 15mpg the whole way back. The driver's dashboard was going haywire and everything was flashing on my dashboard and no power steering at all. Got home car won't start. Took battery to have it checked and recharged. Went back to normal. One week later battery light back on again. Left work again light went out again. Luckily I wasn't on the highway without power steering could've been hazardous and maybe deadly. Don't know what to do. No warranty.

I bought this car not even a year ago and it has been shaking ever since the cv axels got play in them cause the car to shake and they wore down very fast and cause my rotors to go out and my front tires to go bald.

While my vehicle was in motion, it completely died while in the middle of an intersection and had a very difficult time getting it started again.

My check engine light is on. I had it checked it's not reading anything. My right turn signal light keep going out. I have paid firestone in east chase in montgomery al to replace the socket and I have had the bulb changed out at least 3 times. My trunk started out opening by it self. I had the battery replaced in the remote. Now the trunk will not open at all. The reverse lights are out. I replaced the bulbs. Still won't work, the trunk light is out. Now the car has started to beep beep like I have locked or unlocked the door when I have not touched it. I have to replace my battery every 3 months. Something is wrong. I have paid money at brewbaker and firestone in montgomery al. I still have the same problem. When I start the car up. The car beeps beeps when it is parked and the doors locked.

I turned my car off and walked into work and while I was gone and my car was off it caught on fire in the battery compartment and is now totaled.

When pulling into the store a warning came on my screen stating that my turn signals were out when they weren't. Also stated that my low beams were out, they weren't. While driving in traffic a metallic burning smell came through the air vents every couple miles.

Battery light comes on. Recall for shifter was fixed, but the fuse box is now burnt. It's is a special part. I think that there is a correlation between the recall then part is inter the battery and near fuse box,.

The right window no longer works as well as the driver side window. The trunk is also not wanting to open. Key gets stuck in ignition every time I try and turn the car off. Shift cables also broke, I was just getting home when it happened I heard something snap but didn't think much then I parked and tried to drive off again and the car wouldn't shift to drive I could move the stick. Back and forth still,had it replaced a couple of days later they said the whole rod had come out and shot into something else in the vehicle had shift fixed. Also had motor mouths fixed the mouths became loss within a couple of days now I believe the ac compressor is messing up ac kicks on but no air comes out, but it only happens once in a while car also stays cold for a long while and makes a weird clicking noise when I start it up. Also smells like oil. Passage seat also is stuck. This all happened within 2years ive had the vehicle.

When I'm driving, my car has completely lost power and wouldn't move. The battery light comes on, although I have a brand new battery that I got a year ago, and when I turn the car completely off to restart it, it will not turn back on. I found a recall and had the recall fixed and it is now worse with shifting than it was before, and it's still stalling and losing complete power. This is a huge safety risk as it can cause an accident or death, if this were to happen while driving on the highway or turning at an intersection. Fortunately enough, I was at the end of my street, stopped at a stop sign and went to drive again and that's when it lost power.

Car dropped out of gear in the middle of the highway during rush hour traffic. It was terrifying I was almost rear ended but was luckily able to get off the road safely. Dropped speed and there was no acceleration.

My car switches gears while the car is in motion. It also takes a long time for the key to be released from the ignition when the car is in park. A glitch in the electrical system causes my lights to go dim or completely turn off while I am driving.

Transmission control module caused vehicle to surge forward without warning. Car eventually just stopped working and had to be towed to dealership, where they are having trouble locating the exact cause of the electrical trouble, but have narrowed down to the tcm, ecm, and/pcm. Car only has 70359 miles on it, and the dealership is saying it may need to be completely rewired and programmed.

Evert 2 minutes the media console turns bright white, then shuts off, then reboots. When driving at night the light from the console is blinding. Even if you turn off the screen, it will reboot every 2 minutes. It does this all the time, parked, or driving.

My car shuts off while driving at almost any speed; at times when I hit a hard bump, or make hard turns, and even when idling at times as well. Rpms shoot to zero and the engine shuts off leaving you only able to steer. . . I've had it in the shop at least twice for the issue since the first time it happened and each time whatever it is seems to be fixed until a few weeks/months later when it ends up happening again. The latest time was 04/08/19 on my way to work in the morning when I was merging onto the expressway; at about 40mph the car stalled and this happened 3 more times before I was able to make it to work.

I first started experiencing problems with my car in 2017 my car would overheat and shut off on me in the middle of the road. I took it into a Dodge dealership and they said it was my battery after that I had them change the battery. After maybe a day I went to work and the car shut off on me again. I then got an oil change and the car worked good for a few months until I came upon the problem again the car shit off on me in the middle of the highway. I always thought it was the oil because when it happens I change my oil and the car is fine after. I changed my oil recently and my car is still experiencing electrical problems the battery light turns on and it is a hassle to turn the car back on. I have read a lot of complaints on people who have the same car as me it is a big safety hazard to be stuck in the middle of the road I am not satisfied with my car especially since I keep up with the vehicle maintenance and it only has around 40,000 miles on it.

My car shut off on its own while I was driving to work, so we were in motion. It has now happened 4 times to me in a span of 3 weeks. I can either be driving during the day or night. It will happen in the middle of driving or when I come to a stop sign and adding pressure to the brake. Once it happens, and if I put it in park as well, the stick shift will lock up as well. Again this has now happened 4 times to me while driving and coming to a stop.

Car is stalling and cutting off while driving. Got an oil change. Car doesn't react to pushing on accelerator. Rpm rev after hesitating with foot on the gas. Car is shaking and running really hard. I believe its the transmission control module, which is common in Dodge Darts. Its been recalled, but not on my model. Stalled in the middle of an intersection. Had to restart car 3 times.

I've replaced my battery twice since purchase in may. Something is draining the battery and I've even experienced driving on the highway and all my dash lights start blinking until the car cuts off and I have to restart it to get to my destination; and then take it the auto parts store to have them recharge it.

The car will not shut off, I'm not a mechanic I dont know what the problem is I am wasting money trying to fix this problem it's been like this for over a year now this should be a recall as well as my oil goes away really fast I have to get an oil change sooner than most even using the good synthetic oils from the dealerships.

Dart recall I brought the Dart in to do a reflash for my car to stop the harsh idle, choke and knock . Also that the car shuts off from a rolling stop to acceleration after the reflash 2 days later the car continues to have the same problems several weeks later today 11/17/18 the car shut off as usual but in a intersection had to turn on the car and hope when putting it in drive the engine doesn't shutoff again in cold weather the vehicle has a knocking grind sound and occasionally will turn off if the idle drops low to 500 and then immediately applying little gas and the warm weather comes by or after first driven the grinding noise is gone but same issue when the idle drops to low the engine just does and battery light turns on the battery is good but this issue hasn't been fixed and when I went the said it's normal but they did a reflash.

Bought the car at 22500 miles and now at 46000 the car stutters and chokes in the cold rough idle and knocking sound coming from engine and the idle goes up and drops at high stops and will shut off the car when slowing down knock sound is heard once driven more the once the knocking goes but the stall at fast stops still happens when purchased wasn't informed recall was put on the car or various other Darts.

Dodge Dart recall . . . . Pcm is acting up needs to be refreshed engine is choking in cold weather and will shut off at a sudden stop in dangerous situations engine revs are completely random but will drive normally once driven 4 times and engine is kept warm but braking suddenly or swerving away suddenly shuts off the car.

Driving on the open road the car looses power, can't steer can't accelerate. Very dangerous when traveling at 70 mph even at 35 thru the city. I have noticed online of all the complaints and Dodge just says I don't know what to tell you. This needs to be fixed as some one will die driving these cars in this condition!! read were numerous people have been involved in accidents because of this. Happens more when turning in my case.

The headlights have been intermittent since I purchased the car, I ended up having to have both ballasts and bulbs replaced, still experiencing this issue intermittently. It is not something that is a recall or covered under any warranty past 40,000 this car has 50,000 and I'm already going to have a computer module replaced as it controls the headlights this will not be a cheap repair. This should be a recall as many Dart owners are experiencing this issue. The fog lights are the only forward facing lights I have that work at times, stationary or moving, other times it's one or the other,.

Car randomly shuts off while driving. With no warning, unsafe and could cause accidents.

The trunk goes crazy popping open over and over and the only way to close it and to keep it shut is to have your car in drive or reverse with the emergency brake set which is not safe at all especially with children in the car!.

My Dodge Dart has been having issues for a couple weeks. It will start jerking like you're driving a standard and don't know how to drive it. The abs light, traction control light, check engine light and a couple other lights will all come on. When it does this there are times that you can press the had pedal all the way to the floor and it does nothing. Then the car started saying to check the transmission and when you shifted into certain gears it would say the gear was unavailable and you need to shift to drive or reverse. After troubleshooting I found that my fuse box, next to my battery, looks like several of the fuses have caught on fire. I don't know how the car hasn't gone up in flames. Aren't fuses supposed to break when something like this hastens.

When I drive and brake the car cuts off and the steering wheel locks and its hard to start back up im in the middle of the street.

In addition, while accelerating from a stop, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The contact waited a few minutes before restarting the vehicle to continue driving. Also, the battery warning indicator illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and noticed that it was out of oil. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to determine the cause of the failures. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 43,000.
