general problems of the 2016 Dodge Dart - part 2

On may 05 2019 I received a letter from fca us llc - important safety recall. Talking about a problem on the transmission shift cable. They say that there is not remedy available and that I will be contacted again when the solution is available. My car is running well, but I am concerned with this risk. What"s if I have an accident?? I need to know my rights. Do they have to replace my car for a new one??? how long will I be driving at risk?? what about if they do not find the part or remedy??? just let me know my rights. Thanks.

Car is stalling and is having a hard time not dying. Tested the engine codes and nothing came back, tested battary, starter and alternator. The heater only works sometimes. The sun roof opens on it's own and will not close.

When my oil life goes below 35% the engine will shut of while I am driving. It mostly happens when making a turn. It does restart after about 2 minutes and cranking the engine.

Car stalled while driving on a on ramp to the freeway. I pulled over and tried to start it. It sounded like it was trying to turn over by itself for a good 10 seconds. When it restarted, after releasing the break my car thrust forward. Then started to spuber like it wanted to stall again. At that time 3 lights came on on the dash. . . The check engine, stabilization and another I've never seen. Was real close to a Dodge dearer where I bearly made it to. When I asked the person about the tigris light coming on he told me �that means get it in ASAP! something seriously wrong is with the vehicle. � the car has just over 30k miles and I know it's still under warranty.

Hello I bought a 2016 Dodge Dart a little over a year ago I've have the standard matinence done when suggested but have been experiencing issues with the oil running out I've looked up issues online and I'm honestly kind of surprised you have not had Dodge recall or look into this issue already because many people are having the same issues with these motors in fact I've found that some people have run down so low the engine actually shuts off I would please like you to investigate into this and have Dodge fix the problem thank you.

For the past 4 months I've had this same issue. My car turns off while driving I've filed several complaints. The dealership was unable to figure out what was wrong with the car. The reprogrammed the tcm and pcm and that seemed to have fixed the problem up until today, 09/16/2018. I got down the street and my car shut off again while turning onto a busy street. I was almost side swiped and this isn't the first time I was almost in an accident as a result of this.

This is the 5th time that I have experienced the same problem. The last time I was almost in an accident. After the first start of the day, the car shuts off while driving. It has happened a total of 6 times. I have taken my car to pep boys and the dealership. Pep boys is unable to find any problems as the car has to mimics the problem and the dealer was noncompliant.

This is the third complaint I have field about the same problem. My car is turning off while driving. At 50,281 miles my cars motor turned off wile I was driving. Usually it will go about 1000 miles or so before it turns off again. This time was a bit sooner. While leaving my house to take my brothers inhaler to his school, my car turned off. I had just got down to the end of the street and started to turn off of sunnyslope ln and onto 95th Ave and my car turned off. This time a lady in a white Lexus SUV almost hit my car because I was unable to restart the vehicle quickly. Thank god for that ladys Lexus being able to stop in time.

This is the fourth time this has happened the last time my mileage was at 49,218 this time my mileage was at 51,068. Basically what happens while driving the vehicle (mostly on city streets) the cars engine will randomly shut off. In order to restart the car you have to come to a complete stop, put the transmission in park or neutral and restart the car. I do not know what is wrong with the car but I need it fixed before my warranty expires.

This is not the first time this has happened to me. While driving, the engine shuts off. Could be going as slow as 15mph to as fast as 70 mph. This time it happened while I was driving in California while on vacation. I got to the end of the street and boom engine shuts off. To restart the car you have to come to a complete stop, change gear into neutral or park and restart the vehicle. This is the third time this has happened and I have since started recording the mileage when it happens. Mileage was at 49,218.

Twice while driving my car has just completely stalled and lost power. Both times I was slowing to a stop. Other times it feels as it it will stall but doesn�t. It has caused two minor accidents at a stop sign due to the stalling. The other event happened at 50,0000 miles in June. I took car to dealership, no codes came up.

Thermostat failed at 47k miles on a 2016 Dart. This should have been covered under engine warranty but wasn't. The 2. 4l has a history of thermostat failings and our dealership replaces them constantly.

Tamara recall the blower for heat and ac works off and on. It started only working once a day now it won't work at all.

Ongoing problems with dimmer switch. . Back up camera. . Recall on cable which is dangerous. . . Criuse control clunkers badly. . In shop numerous occasions.

On 5-21-16 while driving after turning on a city street the car started beeping and the gas wouldn't work. The battery light came on and the car came to a rolling stop. All lights worked. The window would only roll halfway down. Vehicle would not start back. Vehicle had 700 miles on it. After several attempts to start it back with push button and key it finally started. On 9-15-16 while making a turn the car started beeping and came to a rolling stop. The ignition was still lit up run. The battery light came on. All lights worked. Rpm were 0. Vehicle has 7,062 miles on it. There have been several times where the engine has tried to die while backing up or taking off in drive from a complete stop. This is not safe! after researching I found this was an issue with older models.

Car started violently shaking when I got on the freeway and between 55-60 I felt like every tire was gonna go flying off it never did anything before no messages tires were at 34psi like required oil had been changed all services and fluids checked took to Chrysler immediately in middle of traveling to work. They did 16 pt chk nothing wrong so I took ti big o tires rotated aligned ans balanced still same thing joint axle vibrated right of the joint under hood cant get it replaced nobody carries them and Chrysler Dodge did not see it being an issue the very same day my widow rolled down and hasnt went back up since all others work except driver window , (21930 at dealer )odometer problem I can drive acrross town and it puts 300+ miles on it I am frustrated and disappointed I am also told my warranty expired for my wheels at 12,000 conveniently I am at 23000 today and I took it across town back to home max of 40 miles and I have 23183.

The 2016 Dodge Dart I own turns off while driving. It happened twice so I took it in to be serviced by dealership. Computers found nothing wrong. Last night I was driving with baby in carseat. Car turned off, control panel lights turn on when this happens. A truck that was coming behind me veered at last minute to avoid hitting us within inches! after driver of truck and and other witness checked on us,I went into shock, it was the scariest moment!! the only way car turns back on is by switching key off,then on again. If there's nothing "wrong with it", will I have to prove it with our lives that there is?!.

On a city street, tried to accelerate at a stop light with the brake on. Would not accelerate turning left in oncoming traffic. Intermittenly (hops) in motion exiting a highway, upon braking I traffic, stopped at a traffic light and in the driveway with the key removed. Tachometer has redlined (6500 rpm + ) moving in traffic at 46 mph on level road and upon take off from a red light. Tachometer has revved to 5500 rpm's on the down side of a hill when on cruse control multiple times when on the highway. The car has jerked severely driving down the highway at approximately 70 mph. Intermittently the climate control has difficulty in making a decision on the selection I made and has taken approximately 5 min before the air ( fan ) will engage. All dash lights have flashed when the key fob was pushed to unlock the doors. The auto door locks have failed to lock properly and engaged at 40 mph. The list is longer but my feeling is it is a computer problem and service says there is no code so no problem found. It has been in service 6 times that have been documented. My fear is this car is so defective and is going to kill me and possibly others if the computer fails with the steering or braking. The issues started @ 500 miles on the car, it now has 1900.
