Dart recall I brought the Dart in to do a reflash for my car to stop the harsh idle, choke and knock . Also that the car shuts off from a rolling stop to acceleration after the reflash 2 days later the car continues to have the same problems several weeks later today 11/17/18 the car shut off as usual but in a intersection had to turn on the car and hope when putting it in drive the engine doesn't shutoff again in cold weather the vehicle has a knocking grind sound and occasionally will turn off if the idle drops low to 500 and then immediately applying little gas and the warm weather comes by or after first driven the grinding noise is gone but same issue when the idle drops to low the engine just does and battery light turns on the battery is good but this issue hasn't been fixed and when I went the said it's normal but they did a reflash.

Takata recall: the vehicle low air pressure light will chime when making a left or right turn and the car will loose power and shut off. The car will take 5 min to start up the engine and when going over a speed bump will trigger the vehicle to loose power and shut down as well.
Went to get in my car and the alarm system activated and it will not start. Also the motor consumes oil at an alarming pace to the point I have to take oil with me when I go anywhere. Because if I don't it will get low and the car will lose all power while I'm driving down the road. This is unsafe and needs to be fixed ASAP especially since I have kids. Car still will not start.

Battery needs to be replaced about every 6 months due to something draining the battery but nothing has been found. Electrical is all messed up, the computer system malfunctions. When car is turned on at randomly the air and music will go full blast and it cannot be turned down or shut off. Mechanically the car is running fine but the temperature gauge moves up and down while driving and while sitting still due to electrical issues. When driving on normal backroads or highways there is a loud clunking noise coming from the engine area and nothing has been found as to why it makes the noise.
takata recall about 2 months ago my car wouldn't start. I thought it was due to the cold weather. The 2nd day same thing wouldn't start and had to end up getting jumper cables. The 3rd in the morning again some trouble but no cables were needed. But later that afternoon I had to go to my child's school. Got down for what was no more than about 7mins came back and my car wouldn't start. Had to get cables. Soon as we got the car going went to autozone and they checked it saying it was the battery. So I bought another battery then and there. Hooked it up. The car turned in fine but my power steering light came on. The steering wheel was so stiff to turn but I had to go. And lucky me it wasn't a far drive and pretty straight. About 3 days from then we took it to the dealership. Let them know what happened and they said that all they needed to do was reprogram the module. But they call back 15mins later saying they couldn't do it because the module wasn't communicating back and that they need $230 to run a diagnostic so they can know what was the root of the problem. I didn't have the money to spare at the time. So I said not now. Once they brought my car around, they let me know that now the overhearing light came on after they looked at it. On the way home the car turned off at a main street, lucky us I got to turn into a parking lot as it turned off all while I,husband, and my daughters. Turned it back on and came back on fine. Then all I wanted to do was come home and hope the car wouldn't turn off again. The air, headlight, and bluetooth can not run at the same time cause the dashboard lights and headlight will flicker and then the car will turn off.

Twice while driving my car has just completely stalled and lost power. Both times I was slowing to a stop. Other times it feels as it it will stall but doesnt. It has caused two minor accidents at a stop sign due to the stalling. The other event happened at 50,0000 miles in June. I took car to dealership, no codes came up.
My transmission places itself into neutral. But it is not under a recall even though it fits the category.
Battery light comes on, once that occurs the radio goes pitch black and we lose total control over the radio and hvac controls. The dash gauges shut off including turn signal blinkers and clicking sound. And whether the a. C. Is on or not the heater defrost comes on full blast and I can't get it to turn off. Until the rear defrost and battery light is off. But it will immediately do it again. This problem occurs whether the car is in park, in drive but idling, while driving down the road and when turning left.
Upon driving a few months after getting this vehicle I noticed it was burning oil rather fluently. When turning corners while driving it would shut of and I'd have to wait about ten minutes and it withhold turn on like nothing happened. After adding more oil it would operate a bit better. Then the throttle system kicked out. I was driving on the highway and began to lose speed. I pulled over for safety and turned the car off. After restarting it I learned the throttle body system was bad. I initially didn't know what it was until after researching the vehicle and it's functions. . . I cannot get speed going up hill and cannot reach does if more than 40-45mph.
I have been having ongoing problems with my 2013 Dart sxt since about 5 months after purchase. One of the first things that happened was the passenger door handle coming off - more than once - and having to be fixed. I believe this occurred three times. Each time it was "fixed" and then the handle would come off again. The last time the handle came off, I was no longer under warranty so now I just have a passenger door with no handle until I can afford to get that fixed. As far as the electrical problems I have had: the dash display goes completely dark and resets itself when I am driving - especially if the weather changes; my traction control and check engine lights come on randomly; my heat/ac turns on or up without anyone touching it (at random) and I've frequently had problems with trying to get the vehicle to start when it is cold outside. My remote start stopped working over a year ago, but because I first had my electric worked on at frank fletcher Dodge, and had to take it back a second time because the problems weren't fixed, I stopped trying. Any other place I've taken my car always suggests I go back to the place where the electrical work started but I do not want to do that because it seems like problems get worse every time I have taken it to get fixed. My dash/clock resets at complete random. I have been driving and hit pot holes on the street and bumps on the highway that made the whole system reset while I was still driving. Even this Monday, I started my car at the end of my workday only to find that my clock and audio settings were reset again. I was trying to keep track of the service records from frank fletcher Dodge and others but may have lost some from all of the times I have had to call them in the past few years. I have been expecting some sort of recall or buy back due to the all of the complaints that have been filed, but no luck.

When the check engine light first came on back in April 2018, before the recall with the transmission came out the traction control light would come on when that happened I knew I would have to restart my car before I could accelerate past 40 mph. Then the light would go off. Now the light always stays on along with the abs sensor light. My oil pressure sensor is also bad and keeps the check engine light on.
Service transmission message on dash after about 50 miles of driving normal. Won't shift into second gear until 4200 rpm drops to 1000 rpm then shifts into third gear early at 2400 rpm when turned vehicle off and try to turn back on it says autostick not available. Clear all codes works fine. It's been at the dealership 4 times with no diagnosis. They have done the transmission control module recall twice. Every time it has happened there has been about a month in between. Tends to happen after about driving 50 miles normally.
Takata recall: I pulled out of my work parking lot at 5pm after it had been sitting since 7am and drove about 2 mins down the rode, car battery light flashed and the car would no longer accelerate and steering wheel locked up. All lights and radio, a/c continued working normally. I was left stuck in the middle of an intersection. I turned the car off and turned the key a couple of times, after about 5-6 times it finally started again and drove away normally. This has happened 6 times now in the past 6 days. Most recently I was driving down a busy street going about 30 mph in far right lane, I saw the battery light flash and I swerved into a parking lot before my steering wheel locked up. It is now taking 15-20 mins to start back up, it seems to be getting worse. It only seems to stall first time driving it in the morning or after work, in both cases the car has been sitting for 8-9 hours. I'm now scared to drive this car fearful it will stop on me and I wont have a chance to get out of harms way.
Car stalled in the middle of a public street several times and wouldn't start at times before it finally just left me stranded. During these times there was no error on the screen letting me know what the problem was so I just kept trying to drive it. Then after awhile the check engine light turned on a few times but it was at random times and did not stay on. The car only has 18000 miles and I've only had it for 2 years. The dealer replaced the battery but did not check to see what was causing the battery to die so quick. They just told me that I don't drive it enough and that I stop and start it too much because I work too close to home. . . (this is not my first car and that's never happened before). This was not the first time I had this car serviced. The entire first year I kept getting an error that the tire pressure was too low and I was told that it was just an issue with the computer system but I had to replace the tires right away on a brand new car. So it's also had issues with the tires/wheels on a brand new car. People buy new cars to avoid these problems!.
While driving on the mountain roads to driving on the freeway to driving any where my turbo cuts off and I lose almost all power causing me to loose power going up a steep hill and almost get rear ended at least 3 times. Further more when I'm getting ready to merge onto the freeway and it cuts out causing me to almost be hit by truckers. I get a burning smell coming from the engine bay smells almost like oil or wire smell. My speed control is non functioning and my ebrake is also damn near inoperable. I want to know why there hasn't been a total lemon law for 2013 Dodge Darts they are not safe to drive for the owner and anyone else on the road . So if this is a national highway transportation safety administration why is it not recalled!!!!!.
It was September 23rd around 11pm, I was driving on a highway, upon turning into the exit lane my car hit some form of pothole which made my touch screen and dashboard turn off and back on. I've had issues with my touch screen shutting off and back on in the past, once I've replaced the battery it worked fine until that day, then it started acting up again so before all of this I did set up a car appointment for it to get checked out 2 days earlier. So anyway, as I'm driving, I arrive to my destination. I sat in the car for a while on my phone and decided to turn on my air. When the air came out it smelled very smokey. So I turned it off and about 5 minutes later, a very light mist began to come out of the drivers side hood. So I decided to just head home instead because I didn't want to be stuck somewhere and I not have a ride home, my house wasn't that far from my location. So the further I'm driving I noticed the smoke began to pick up a bit so I cut my hazard lights on. I'm about 5 minutes away from my house at the point. So I'm driving down the ramp to merge into the highway and the smoke got so thick to where I could no longer see so I'm pushing down the breaks to slow the car down and find my way to the side of the road but then my car locks up and shuts down. I couldn't turn the wheel, gas or break or anything. When I could glimpse through the smoke I noticed a fire was coming from my hood, so into moving traffic on the highway going about 40 miles an hour I hopped out of my car and it rolled a little over 100 feet to almost the yellow line (it was still blocking one lane). Witnesses called the cops and the fire department put the flames out. I reached out to my car company and they said since my car wasn't insured, that basically I'm out of luck. I have scratches and scars still from the day of the incident and I'm not sure what else to do ## VIN passed ## Dodge Dart 2013 ##.
Takata recall I was driving on a city street and the car rpm revved up like I put it into neutral and a few lights came on the dash then the whole car shut off I had to fight to get the car to the side of the road bc o lost power steering and the care would crank back up I took this to the dealership in weiden germany and they said they rest the computer.
Takata recall: there has been multiple issues with this car including loss of power, rapid shifting, transmission failure, stalling, and overheating. The check engine light and transmission light have come on multiple times, the tcs and passenger airbag lights have come on and off at the same time. This car has had 2 pcm's replaced, 4 tcm's replaced, 2 transmissions (the last one replaced less than one week ago), 2 sets of spark plugs and coils replaced, timing belt, serpentine, and water pump replaced. The transmission, serpentine, timing belt, and water pump were all replaced on 7/21/17 and now the car is presenting with the same issues. These problems started with the first owner (and were not reported to me) on 8/6/13 and started with me on 4/16/15. As of 8/2/17 I have the same whining noise in the car (which has been diagnosed as the transmission multiple times now), the transmission is unable to shift or lags or shifts too quickly, I can floor the gas peddle and the car will not accelerate, when I let off the brake the car surges forward, the check engine light is back on, and the cruise control is not functional. This car has been in the shop more than I have driven it and Dodge keeps repairing it and those repairs last less that one month and the same problem happens again and again. This car is unsafe to drive and Dodge has yet to remedy the situation. The car is set to be back in the shop this week and it is currently not drivable and a hazard to myself and others on the road. I would not be able to accelerate to move out of the way of anyone or anything due to the transmission and issues with this vehicle.
2014 Dodge Dart didn't want to start, put it in n and waited a few mins and it started. Next morning same issue, but wouldn't start in n. Jumped the car , drove it 50 miles but didn't shut it off. . Got home shut it off, wouldn't start immediately after turning it off. Today jumped it to take it to get ob2 reader to get codes since check engine light came on. . Cars abs light is on, throttle control light, check engine. Amen windsheld wipers were on with wipers in off position. Car has no power when putting in drive now. . Almost seems like it didn't know it was in drive. I looked up issues with this model, everything is pointing to the tcm and bcm.
There was already a recall on my vehicle. Then I have had two brand new starters put into my car at the Chrysler dealership and both times the starters were burned to a crisp in less than 48 hours. Now I'm having transmission issues and no one knows what's going on.
Rear facing camera for reverse related operations inoperable beginning at 25,000 miles. Back up camera fails to operate, leaving dash screen blank. Camera known to stop function mid-operation and amongst specific variables, ie. Barometric pressure, difference in tire pressure etc.
My car stalls on occasions in addition to cutting off and also shakes when sitting still my engine lights stays on.
Ongoing problems with dimmer switch. . Back up camera. . Recall on cable which is dangerous. . . Criuse control clunkers badly. . In shop numerous occasions.
Car shuts down while driving - battery light flashes and I am unable to accel. No power what-so-ever. This has happened 4 times twice at 45 mph and twice at 70 mph. Battery has been replaced twice. * car stereo/screen powers down while driving and resets * all lights in car go out for a short time and come back on * rushing water sound while accel. * car gets up to 4,000rpm's to go from zero to 30mph * issue with break delays * knocking sound from front right side of car.

I bought a 2015 Dodge Dart sxt with 32996 miles on it. Got the car on 4-4-2017. I had it not even a month and it's been one thing after another with it. First it dont shift properly it gets to a high rpm then it shoot you forward at a fast speed. Then a very bad knocking in the front end when you turn the wheel from left to right while parked. The dealership looked at it 3 times and couldn't diagnose it but did tell me it needs two up dates that would fix the shifting issue, then said I needed a new right shift axel and I asked them to check the right hub cause the other shop told me the hub was bad. Well they were right on that. So Dodge fixed those things for me. Then said my knocking was from the axel. Two days later its still knocking I had another shop diagnose the knocking to it was the (rack and pinion). I took it back to Dodge and told them and they argued and said no that's not it. Two days later they ordered a rack and pinion. Now the car has been stalling out on me,the shifting problem is back again. One the high way going 75 mph there is a terrible noise coming from tire area along with a vibration that I feel on my feet coming from under the car. Going around highway corners the back end feels like it's slides. All this with in 1 month of owning this car. This car is not and never will be safe for my kids and I,no matter how many times they try to fix it. I got invoices and everything document and I will be getting a lawyer for having to pay 15000 for a lemon when I told the dealership I wanted something else cause there is to many things wrong with it when it's only two years old. I was told no its to late I got all the messages saves on messenger from the sales men at the dealership. What do they expect me to do after the warranties up and it still has issues I can't afford that. I bought a new car so I didn't need to put money into it. This car is a lemon@iwillproveit.
I had my 2013 Dodge Dart for 3 years and for a year and a half I've had problems with tires to the point where they popped while driving, brand new tires, used tires it didn't matter. I spent so much money on just tires. To top it off I can't get the check engine light off because of the bcm and a leak somewhere. I went through all the procedure I brought a new gas cap, I brought a new sensor, I checked the wires no holes and nothing has worked. I still have two codes on my vehicle still after spending a lot of money to get it off.
My 2013 Dodge Dart has been going through issues for a year. My tires have been popping left and right brand new and used tires just popping while I'm driving with my kids in the car. The car now has a bcm problem as well as a small gas leak. I have went through multiple dealership that looked over the car and can't determine where the gas leak is coming from in which my check engine is still one which leave me to not be able to get the vehicle inspected or registered again. This car has caused me and my family so much money and issues. It hardly wants to drive, my key gets stuck in the ignition for some reason and I can't turn the car off. The Dodge and recall place told me they can not help me because my VIN is not recalled but I've been having the same issues as every other 2013 Dodge Dart.
Check engine light will flash while simultaneously the gear selections lights all glow red. Stability indicator signals loss as well as extremely rough shifting. Loss of reverse camera, moon roof, loss of auto windows both up and down, as well as practically all forward motion as if the transmission has suddenly stopped working. Once stopped safely and vehicle has been disabled I. T will not start without a series of steps prior to ignition. 1. Press accessory button. 2. Place in nuetral. 3. Return to park. 4. Open and close driver door. 5. Apply foot to the brake pedal. 6. Press ignition switch to start the vehicle. These steps allow the vehicle to become operational; however the check engine light will remain on for various lengths of time. The transmission now shifts less rough than during the initial malfunction. I have experienced this malfunction both while starting my car and during operation on the open road. At which point the vehicle becomes clearly unsafe to operate, due to loss of motion. I personally do not feel safe operating this vehicle alone and especially with my family aboard. I have researched this issue hours on end and found masses falling to the same vehicle malfunction. As of yet my specific VIN# has yet to be recalled regardless of the nature of the malfunctions. I charge you NHTSA to press upon Chrysler for safety of not only my family but all the others out in the world at risk due to faulty engineering and equipment.
I have had nothing but issues with my 2013 Dodge Dart limited. I purchased it with 36,900 miles on it back in July of 2016. Here we are in July of 2020 and the car does not even have 67,000 miles on it. My problem listed was created only roughly a week after purchasing. The entire uconnect system makes my vehicle unable to operate safely. Whether it's the screen going black where I can not control/change anything. The touch screen is everything volume, hvac, bluetooth, supposed to work with remote start. I have had my codes checked; cylinder 1 module misfire. After doing research and my vehicle being stuck unable to drive because it simply would not start(acted like it would but would not. ) for the entire winter of 2018. Come summer of 2019 the air was still horriblebut my infant was now in the vehicle. Seeing a poor newborn have sweat rolling off his face on a way to a doctors appointment probably is what done me in the most. This vehicle has some cool uconnect bells and whistles but it is like they attempted to put something in a vehicle that was not capable of handling all the advancements. I have had my car to the dealership 4 times. I've replaced parts within the hvac twice! now my odometer is blinking; red flag. I am seriously scared to drive this vehicle. It sits for most of the time. In the lasr 2 years I've maybe driven it a total of 5,000 if that! I have my car almost completely paid off and have not even been able to put over 31,000 miles on it in 4 four years!how absurd and ridiculous! the dealership always want to run a diagnostic even though they have mentioned the issues each time I've paid for them previously. They just have quick fix as the gentleman told me for this. I am a single mother going to college that cannot financially afford all this! the car randomly after being shut down will not restart. Been stuck for a couple months now in the garage.
I've had my car for over a year now and I have 9850 miles on my vehicle. Around 1am after coming back home from work going 60mph, I heard a loud clunk in my steering wheel and I decided to not pay attention to it because I thought it was the road. I tried to switch lanes, when suddenly I couldn't move my steering wheel at all. Luckily there was no one behind me so I started to slow down as soon as I hit about 13mph my steering wheel became unstuck and I was able to move again. The next day I took it to hunter Dodge in lancaster CA and when I brought it in they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle. About 3 days later, I was driving about 60mph again and my car started to drift into the dirt while I was going back home. I tried re-centering my car to the center, but my steering wheel locked once more and I started going into the dirt. I slammed on my brakes and luckily I was able to stop before I hit a tree. I took it back a 2nd time and asked them to look at it again and they had it for a couple of days and they still didn't find anything wrong with it. Luckily the times it has happened I was alone in the car. Inam. Glad to say that my family and my soon to be wife wasn't in that car. I cannot drive my car to la because of the fear that my steering wheel may lock up on me while on the freeway. Please help.
The first time my breaks went out I was sitting in a drive thru and we heard a loud popping noise and the breaks became hard to push down. It took longer to stop driving home to be towed. The second time the same thing happened but we were driving this time and with this one the traction control also went out. This is the second time in 9 months that I have had my break system replaced. This is a major safety hazard as I could have killed someone seeing as though I had no breaks to stop. I drive long distances for work on major freeways that are very busy in the morning and at night and had this happened while I was on one of those freeways, someone would likely have died or at the very least been severely injured. This is uncalled for.
Backseat of those not work. I have a lot of electrical issues. The trunk opens every time it's cold or raining by itself. When I start the car the car just flickers sometimes in the odometers bounce up and down. My car is telling me that my park light is out and it's not. These are issues I brought directly to the Dodge lot dealer when I first bought the car.
None.
The esc malfunction light illuminates daily. Periodically goes off and on.
