I don't know what to do with the vehicle. It's given me problems since I first bought it. The first time I had a problem with this vehicle was a month after I purchased it from the dealership. I was driving it, and it suddenly turned off and all of the lights on the dashboard turned on. Now it does it frequently. The last time was literally this 3rd of October. The dealership mechanics supposedly said it happens because the oil is low on the car, that the car's system shuts off to protect the vehicle from damage to the motor, due to low oil. It seems ridiculous that Chrysler is willing to risk their buyers with such a fault systems. All the dealer said was that it was normal and nothing to worry about. However, when this has happened to me it has been when the oil life is at no less than 58%. It is very unsafe to drive this vehicle. I can crash at any moment. And the motor just burns through oil like crazy. My mechanic checked it after maybe three weeks of an oil change and it was completely out of oil already. It seems like.

Parked when the check engine warning light came on. The car would not accelerate after taking off.
There was already a recall on my vehicle. Then I have had two brand new starters put into my car at the Chrysler dealership and both times the starters were burned to a crisp in less than 48 hours. Now I'm having transmission issues and no one knows what's going on.
This car suddenly stalls and die now all the time even while driving in highway, took it to manufacture dealership they made diognostic saying nothing wrong but, the problem was never resolve. Searching the web I notice that a lot of people been having same issues as mine which is very dangerous. Thank you.
The previous complaint was filed on September 15, 2016. Ihtsa id number 10906998. Originally the vehicle dying was said to be due to the oil needing to be changed and something with the turbo engine that my vehicle does not have. Since the previous complaint, the computer system was updated at the dealership. There were no other issues after the computer system update. April 10th the vehicle started making a loud rattling sound. The sound begins once you get over 50-55mph and gets louder the faster you go and the longer you drive. I recorded the sound so that the dealership could not find a problem. The service department said it sounds like a bicycle chain. It is scheduled for service for the rattling problem on June 21. Today while backing out of the driveway the vehicle tried stalling. After drive about 2 miles down the road, the vehicle died while pulling out from a stop sign onto the main road. A car swerved into the turning lane to keep from hitting me. This makes the 4th time that the vehicle has died while driving it. This issue is going to cause me or my children to be injured or killed. The vehicle currently has 14, 153 miles.

Car stalls without warning in all sorts of scenarios, just started, turning, stopping, up hill or down hill. Multiple inquiries with Chrysler corporate and dealerships resulted in them telling me the car is engineered to allow 1qt of oil burned every 750 miles, per spec sheet I had to firmly demand to be able to see it. Was basically told there is no problem that my car dies in the middle of an intersection with my family in it, thereby the potential for a major catastrophic deadly situation is there. Chyrsler corporate cases were closed with no resolution and they nearly made me pay for the inquiry. This is all apparently hidden in the Chrysler TSB - 09-001-12. My car had 25,000 miles and was needing about 7-8 quarts between oil changes according to the car's built in oil life meter which is intended to be used.
Their were poisonous fumes coming out of the heater, coolant, and radio speaker systems, the vehicle burned too much gas, their was no acceleration in long distance {in ref a seaside university section 8 housing survey}, the dealership wouldn't offer diagnostic and warranty service; after I gave them alot of money they told me not to come back to their lot; I gave them the car back; and told the judges to tell them to return all the money I gave them back into my bank account: king county superior court case # 17-2-24602-6 sea filed in seattle.
No oil light on, no engine light, and it stalled. There is a problem with oil consumption with the 2. 4 engine. My car died after backing out of my driveway and starting a turn. Y car stalled out twice in the middle of intersections very dangerous. Battery light came on, music continued, but enginge just died. The steering wheel froze (no more power steering), and I couldn't press my brake down, it just sat there in the road. I checked the level of my oil and it doesn't even cover the curved part of the dipstick, that's how low it is. The car stalled out again, a few months after the oil change. The car is not indicating when it needs oil, and is shutting itself off so it doesn't over heat while driving at speeds 70mph+ and in the middle of intersections while turning.

There are two issues that I have returned my vehicle to the dealership for repairs multiple times and paid significantly for the non-repair. The first is the centerstack display. The display will intermittently go blank typically following a left hand turn. The vehicle has been in twice for this condition and still displays the failure. The second is the transmission. Based on a fca recall, the vehicle was taken to the dealership for a transmission reflash! at that point there had never been an issue with the transmission while driving. Since that event however, the vehicle has never performed as expected. The vehicle was returned to the dealership only to learn there was a problem with the transmission module so that was replaced. Unfortunately, the problem is now worse. The vehicle shifts so rough, that it feels like the vehicle could stop at anytime. This is very concerning because I am not comfortable that I can accelerate into traffic which could cause an accident.
My 2013 Dodge Dart has been going through issues for a year. My tires have been popping left and right brand new and used tires just popping while I'm driving with my kids in the car. The car now has a bcm problem as well as a small gas leak. I have went through multiple dealership that looked over the car and can't determine where the gas leak is coming from in which my check engine is still one which leave me to not be able to get the vehicle inspected or registered again. This car has caused me and my family so much money and issues. It hardly wants to drive, my key gets stuck in the ignition for some reason and I can't turn the car off. The Dodge and recall place told me they can not help me because my VIN is not recalled but I've been having the same issues as every other 2013 Dodge Dart.
Takata recall I bought a Dodge Dart 2015 under the factory warranty and extended warranty on the day of July 19, 2016. After the 3 days the car stop working when I was in the middle of the street at stoplight. I called a tow to take it to my automarket to fix the problem. The diagnostic was the gas bomb problem which its covered as the automarket said. One week later Dodge craysler ram called me to say that when they opened the gas bomb the mechanic found water inside so some parts were contaminated and the factory warranty doesnt covered. They said that those things happened and is nobody fault but I have to pay them for the service a total of 1140 dlls which I don't have . My dealer who's Mazda el cajon doesn't want to use my extended warranty either and also want me to pay. I hope you can help with the purchase of my first car thank you.
My radio with the touchscreen has been replaced 4 times I believe due to an electrical issue-continued to flicker on and off. The visor fell off, now there are no interior lights. Brake recall repair done, but now engine light on, steering wheel locked up while in reverse, all system lights came on looking like failure. Car was accelerating on its own, but when putting foot on gas it would have no effect. Now the car does not start or even turn over including when jump started. I have documentation of the radio repair and brake recall and have videos on my phone of the acceleration with foot on the brake.
Bought a 2014 Dodge Dart 2 years. Had no problems with it till recently when car started to shut off while running in motion. I lost power steering control and power to the whole car. Contacted Chrysler Dodge and their solution was to have me tow car to dealership and pay to have car serviced even though car is still under warranty. Car has put my life and the life of other people in danger multiple times and the company seems to not care even after contacting them formally with complaint.
Vehicle stalled out in cold weather while I was driving. Car begin to roll back because I was on traveling on a hill. I had to menuver vehicle down hill. After about a minute car started,. Vehicle emergency brake will not hold vehicle on any kind of graded surface. I once parted in friends drive pulled up emergency all the way up turn car off. Went to visit friend a few minute and when came out the house vehicle was rolling backwards. I open the jumped in car meanwhile car was already in street with parted cars and moving traffic. I was able to jump in use foot brake to stop vehicle without insident( took to dealer for repaired 3 times in two years, just repaired last week phase 1 engine failure twice within first year and half. Car sputter and jerked drove rough. Took to dealer repair twice on different occasions. During repair dealer kept vehicle 3 weeks on repair and over a week on the other. Dealer reason for delay was waiting on part. I am very in satisfied with vehicle quality and performance in the three years I had it I'm driving vehicle less and less because of quality issues and reliability issue makes me and my family feel unsafe.
The car has been leaking oil at a rate of 3 quarts in two weeks. It is in now for the 2nd repair in that timeframe. The car lost the ability to accelerate in the middle of the highway twice after the attempted repair.
Vehicle was purchased used November 2016. Vehicle has around 37000 miles. While driving the vehicle it will randomly have complete loss of power and the battery light would turn on. Also, when I would try to start the vehicle after it shut off it would take a few attempts to start the vehicle again. In the past week it had happened 4 times. I have noticed it happens within 10 minutes of turning on the car and it has been sitting for 6+ hours. In one incident I was turning onto a major road and it shut off while cars were coming. I have a 2014 Dodge Dart that is burning oil at what seems to me to be an alarming rate. I have had my vehicle in the shop over 4 times. I am being told I have no leaks and my car is fine, and that it is characteristic that my car needs to have oil added every 2k miles. I drive my car to and from work and I rarely travel out of state. I am not over driving or rough driving my car by any means. I have spent over 1k dollars in rentals and repairs. I have a 3 year old son that I drive to daycare 4 days a week and I cannot mentally be comfortable driving my son in a car that stops in the middle of the road because its out of oil. Dodge has done nothing to help me and I am seeking legal action.
As I was driving, I slowed and braked for other vehicles at a traffic light. As I started to re-accelorate, I realized the car had stalled. When I got the car re-started, it was running very rough and the check engine, the traction control and the cruise control lights were all lit and/or flashing. After I got home, I decided to take it back to the dealer. This time, the car drove fairly normally with only the check engine light on. This is the third time this has happened in only 3600 miles. (the first time was at approx. 280 miles and the second time was at about 500 miles. ) the dealer's service writer implied since this car has an electronic throttle control, it was my driving style at fault. I have driven several other cars with electronic throttles for several years (my previous car had 120,000 miles on it) and this is the only time anything like this has happened.
Electrical system inside car shuts off and turns back on repeatedly, even if I am only going 2 miles down the road. The fuel and engine tie together as one; immediately after starting the vehicle the exhaust lets out a very strong odor that continue's for the entire duration of any trip. Then when accelerating using automatic drive or even the dry clutch the exhaust makes a loud rattling noise as it switches from gear to gear. Also, during driving the engine or transmission feels like it is slipping and has hesitation when you accelerate after stopping completely.
The electrical system cuts out several times when driving. At night it is bad because all the inside light go out and you can tell your speed or anything until it turns back on. The engine and fuel are one issue; after starting it the exhaust has a bad odor and stays during the entire travel until it is turned off. The engine also hesitates after coming to a complete stop.
I purchased a new Dart, 2013 limited 1. 4 turbo (manual) and when I say new, it had to be built because there were't any on the lots yet. I always felt the car lacked power but assumed it was just the way the car was. Getting out of 1st gear was really tough. Around 6k, after a long road trip, I started to hear a grinding noise when cutting the wheel and throttling in 1st gear or reverse, basically parallel parking. I brought the car to the dealer for its 1st major tune up and mentioned it and they said the didn't hear the noise ( I also mentioned the airbag light would not go away) the air bag light was gone but soon to return. At 9k, I brought the car in again for the same issues! air bag light gone (soon to return) but they said they didn't hear the noise. At 19k I was fuming and got them to go on a test drive with me and they heard they noise! they tried to say it was the CA intake I put in, but I assured them it wasn't and gave them the oem part to prove them wrong. Low and behold after a week they come back with "clutch bearings"! I got the car back and it feels like a- brand new car!! it's amazing! it has power, pick up, the clutch is much easier to work and no noise! I was startled by the power! this is the car I thought I was buying. I have no idea how much gas economy I've wasted after 19k, but I'm just glad to finally have this issue resolved! I really hope this helps those out there so if you have a manual shift and no power/pick-up out of 1st, insist they check the clutch bearings! now let's hope the airbag light doesn't come back on.
My 2016 Dodge Dart is losing all fluids after putting fluids in the car . My back calipers keep coming off the system , my hose keep detaching or blowing off. Losing power and it's not shifting . I have called Dodge and Ford where I purchased the car , I also made reports with corporate office of dealership I bought it from . No one told me there was any problems with the make and model of the vehicle I have figured it out by getting it fix multiple times in a short period of time .
My car keeps shutting down, battery dieing, lose parts , brake caliber come off completely. Gas gone right after putting gas in the car . I have taking it to dealership were I purchased the car eddie said it would be fixed and it's been one year now. Northgate Ford on colerain Ave cincinnati ohio where I purchased it they have been tracking me threw gps system shutting down my car when they want . Over google and apple they have been breaking into my car taking and switching out all paperwork.
