Brake Disc problems of the 1999 Dodge Durango

At 66,510 miles both upper control arms and both inner tire rods had to be replaced. The front brakes were replaced approximately 4 months ago and they too had to be replaced.

2 Brake Disc problem

While driving, upon pressing brake pedal it pulsates erratically. The outside surface of the rotors was smooth while the inside surface was rough and uneven, indicating that it was defective.

Brakes pulsate when applied. Dealership is aware of problem. Rotors were pitted.

4 Brake Disc problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2000

Brake drums warped in both front and back. Replacement cost approx. $750. 00.

5 Brake Disc problem

Upper ball joint wore prematurely. Also, when brakes are depressed there is a popping noise from the front end.

6 Brake Disc problem

Vehicle was taken to dealer for the brake light staying on, and a chattering noise when going over bumps. Took vehicle to an independent mechanic, and he said that tie rod ends were bad. Mechanic replaced tie rod ends. Currently, vehicle pulled to the right.
