Two problems related to steering knuckle spindle have been reported for the 1999 Dodge Durango. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Dodge currently has nation wide back order of over 1100 2x4 ball joint assymbles. My truck is not repaired due to parts avalability. B/o promptted my request. Dealer found problem at 18 mos. Of service during routine alignment service.
Had taken vehicle to an independent tire mechanic for replacement of tires. While replacing the tires mechanic determined that front upper ball joints were worn out. This problem was causing front wheel spindle and hub to move very easily. The upper ball joints were replaced.
