I have received notification for three different recalls on my Dodge Durango. The first recall notice was received on 7/21/14 for p36 p14, the second recall was received on approx. 11/10/14 for p54/NHTSA 14v-530, and the third recall was received on 112/19/14 for p14/NHTSA 14v-154. Each time I received a recall notice I contacted south hills Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, ram to schedule an appointment to have my Dodge service and the recalls fixed. Each time I was told that the dealer did not have parts in stock and that there were 400 people on the waiting list in front of me and they could give me an estimate on when they could fix my vehicle. On 12/22/14 I contacted three rivers Jeep Dodge and they immediately scheduled me for a service appointment for 12/23/14 and indicated the parts for p36 p14 and p 14/NHTSA 14v-154 were readily available by all Dodge dealers. It is extremely concerning that the south hills Chrysler Dodge dealer had no sense of urgency in addressing these important safety recalls.

You sent out a recall on my vehicle. I called and made an appt. , with dealership for June 2014. When I showed for my appt. , I was informed that they did not have parts needed to fix my vehicle. I was told to call them in August because that's when the parts would be in. I called in August and was told they are only getting a few parts at a time and for me to check back periodically. I just called them and they now have put me on a waiting list stating they still do not have parts and that several are in front of me on list. Your letter states that I need to file a complaint if the problem is not fixed without charge and in a timely manner.

Received recall p14/NHTSA 14v-154 late may/ early June of this year. Called dealer 6/5/2014 and was told parts not yet available. Called again 8/7/2014 and was told when parts come in I will be contacted. 9/17/2014 called dealer to check status and he had no more information or even a guess on when parts will be available. I then contacted Chrysler group via the 800 number on the web site and was told that the brake parts are being sent in "controlled quantities"? the person I spoke with answered my questions from a script and could not explain to me why a recall concerning brakes is being handled on a one to one basis. He told me when the dealer verifies that the recall has been satisfied on one vehicle another part is then sent to the dealer for the next affected vehicle. My question/complaint is why are the parts being rationed for such a vital part of safe vehicle operation and now that this recall is well into its fourth month when should I expect the repairs to be completed? this vehicle is used in a four season environment with very harsh winters. It is also the primary vehicle that my wife and children use everyday. I would like Chrysler to be compelled to act quickly on this recall and not put profit over public and personal safety.
2011 Dodge Durango. Attorney representing consumer writes in regards to brake booster recall notice. The consumer took the vehicle to two different dealerships in June pursuant to a recall notice he received in the mail. Each dealership informed the consumer, they had heard nothing from Chrysler about the recall, and they did not have the necessary parts for the recall.
I received a safety recall notice p14 / NHTSA 14v-154 related to the brake booster on my car. I called the local dealer (tate Chrysler Dodge in glen burnie, MD) to schedule a repair and was told due to parts limitations (they were only able to order 1 part every 7 days) that it would be approximately 1 year before the repair can be made because I was around number 60 on the list. This means I will have to drive the vehicle throughout the winter, which is when the part failure is most likely to occur.

Chrysler issued a safety recall for the brake booster on my vehicle and said the dealership would install a protective brake booster shield to prevent water ingestion and premature corrosion. In the letter, mailed by Chrysler, I was instructed to "contact my dealer right away to schedule a service appointment" and that the dealer would inspect my vehicle, and then either install the shield or replace the brake booster if required, free of charge. Upon receiving the letter, I contacted the service department at ziegler Chrysler Dodge Jeep at 208 w golf rd schaumburg, IL 60195 (847) 882-8400. I was informed that they do not have any parts in stock and they told me the safety issue is not a problem until below freezing weather, and "that he didn't expect any below freezing weather for a while". And then he complained because every call he is getting today is about this recall. They claim to be a 5-star service dealer. Shouldn't the recall process be more coordinated with dealerships? why don't they have the shields as indicated in the recall letter? the service adviser implied that I can wait until winter before finding out if there is a problem. That doesn't seem safe.

I was the extremely proud owner of a 2011 Dodge Durango. By far the best vehicle I have ever owned. On January 11, 2014 while on our way home with our (2) children, we were heading down a mountain coming into a turn. It was foggy that night and unsure if there was ice on the road I was driving a maximum speed of 20 miles an hour. I drive this road every day, as I have for the past 25 years. When I started to apply my brakes, they locked up/grabbed at which point we started to gain speed and went directly into a guard rail ultimately totaling my vehicle. I thank all that is good in this world that no one was seriously injured, but extremely terrified and thankful that we were not going any faster. This was the worst night of my life as we stood in the middle of the night a long the road waiting for help. The psp did not show up for about 2 hours and once the tow truck got there we had to wait even longer. I have to ask myself if knowing about the possibility of brake corrosion may have prevented this accident. I know vehicles are replaceable, but as I said this was the best vehicle that I have ever had and I miss it to this day.

Occasionally when braking, particularly at speeds below 35 mph, the brake pedal stiffens up and the car continues to travel despite depressing the brake pedal as hard as possible. This is a repeating problem. My concern is that eventually this could lead to a crash. I notice this problem has been reported and by others and recalls have been issued on 2012 through 2013, but my vehicle is not included because it is a 2011. This is a safety hazard and should be addressed by Chrysler immediately.
