1 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

(np dealer info) tl the contact owned a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan. While the contact's wife was driving 45 mph, another vehicle traveling approximately 70 mph struck the rear of the contact's vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. The front passenger seat (the contact's seat) separated from the seat track. The contact struck the side door and was thrown into the rear of the vehicle. The seat belt failed to restrain the contact and he was then struck by the seat. The contact sustained injuries to the neck and back. Three occupants in the other vehicle were also injured, as the front passenger's feet went through the windshield and two of the occupants suffered whiplash. Medical attention was required for all the injured occupants. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the contact's insurance company confirmed that the vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 180,000.

2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

The contact owns a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan. The vehicle was involved in a rear end collision and crashed into the vehicle in front of her at 5 mph. The air bag failed to deploy and the seat came off track during the crash. Due to the seat position, the contact could not depress the brake pedal or control the steering. While driving 40 mph vehicle was involved in a head collision. Upon impact driver's side air bag did not deploy. The driver sustained neck and back injuries.

Brakes failed, causing a collision. Upon impact, the air bags did not deploy. Consumer complained to the manufacturer about the horn not working, and the brake failure. Manufacturer inspected the vehicle and found no defects. Recall 04v480000 for clock spring was issued, and consumer stated this was the cause of the accident.

6 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

After being involved in a collision air bags did not deploy. Consumer stated that battery was crushed. Consumer received a recall for the clock spring.

The clock spring failed without warning. As a result the horn was inoperative and the air bag sensor light stayed on. The consumer was concerned the air bags will not deploy upon impact. Please provide additional information.

First, my air bag light came on, then my cruise control stopped working. From what I have researched. I feel this is all tied in to the clock spring wire assembly in the steering column. I'm concerned that my driver side air bag will not deploy in the event of an accident and that prior to that, my horn is going to stop working next. If I get these items repaired now, and there is a recall, will the manufacturer be required to reimburse me?.

10 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Vehicle was in an accident going at 30-40mph. Vehicle t-boned another vehicle causing consumer to hit head on windshield. Upon impact, front air bags failed to deploy. A complaint was filed with Chrysler, and special investigation unit will contact the consumer to come out and inspect. Total damge done to vehicle was $6700, Chrysler investigator stated it was just hit in the wrong spot.

11 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Had left stop light and about to make left turn when another vehicle kept straight, and was hit on driver's side with driver side of caravan. Air bag failed to deploy.
