Headlight Switch problems of the 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan

The contact owns a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated the driver side low-beam and passenger side high beam headlights would not operate. The contact replaced the headlight bulbs and the failure continued to occur. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the multi-function switch was replaced. There was a recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 08e039000 (exterior lighting: headlights). The contact was in the process of notifying the dealer to verify whether the VIN was included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000. The VIN was unavailable.

My van is a 2002 and it has the drivers side light out while the passenger stays on. When I pull the high beem switch the passenger side goes out and the drivers side comes on. My bad light changes sides as I click the dimmer switch. I have replaced the dimmer switch, and both headlights and that did not fix the issue. If you hold in the dimmer switch when the lights are on bright, both the bright light on one side and the dim light on the other side are on.

I have a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan that has had headlight troubles for nearly two years. When you turn the van on, only the right headlight turns on. When you turn the headlights on, only the left headlight turns on. When you turn the brights on, only the right headlight turns on. Always, only one light at a time. We have replaced about three different switches and we still can't seem to find the trouble. (no, it isn't the bulb). This has gone on long enough. Even the dealer can't seem to find the trouble and it needs to be recalled for this problem.
