My tank showed I had 1/2 tank of gas and ran out of gas this has happened also at 1/4 tank of gas I am afraid I will run out of gas on a busy street or highway also my gas pedal sticks some times I am afraid it will stick some time and will cause an accident thanks.

2 Accelerator Stuck problem

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving 40-45 mph the gas pedal became stuck and the vehicle would not stop. She applied the brakes excessively in order to slow the vehicle down and placed the vehicle in neutral and park to stop the vehicle from accelerating. She restarted the vehicle and the rpms increased excessively. The vehicle was not taken to an authorized dealer or local mechanic. The contact was unable to provide a VIN. The failure and current mileages were 130,000.

3 Accelerator Stuck problem

2005 Dodge Grand Caravan gas pedal sticks when pressing down, to break it loose you have to press it further down. I can feel it sticking when I accelerate the vehicle. Has a recall been initiated or will there be one in the near future. This has been happening for the past approximately 2 years.

4 Accelerator Stuck problem

2005 Dodge Grand Caravan customer states that after 60 mph the accelerator pedal starts to stick* the consumer was informed that a new air filter was needed. Also, the cause was that the throttle housing where the butterfly is was dirty and that at high speed the metal heated up and expanded and the carbon around the butterfly would cause it to stick. The consumer was also told that carbon was in the engine and it needed to be cleaned along with the fuel injectors. The consumer was told to expect the problem to happen again.
