1 Check Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 09/26/2008

The oil light went on. I contacted dealer, they advised me I need an oil change. I made an appointment for the next available time which was a week away. I called back next day complaining of a knocking I heard. They finally advised me to get the van to dealer and they will rent a car for me. I checked the oil. It was full. My wife drove it to dealer in the morning. There was no oil in motor. The dealer claims I am responsible since I did not change the oil in 6 months and 7000 miles. Chrysler rudely denies coverage even though I am under warranty, I purchased the car March 2008 with 35000 miles or so. . It has been in for service before for a replacement of rack and pinion system and an engine light incident.

2 Check Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 02/14/2006

: the contact stated there were multiple occasions were the transmission failed. When the transmission stuck in first gear the vehicle was taken to a dealership which replaced the veil body. Two years later the vehicle stalled twice while idling. Upon inspection the dealership determined although the rpms increased the vehicle failed to accelerate. The transmission stuck in second gear and the check engine light illuminated. The dealer rebuilt the transmission. Later, when the transmission slipped between first and second gears the dealership replaced the throttle position sensors. Afterwards the transmission had slippage and was slow to accelerate. Every incident occurred at 40 mph or less. The check engine light illuminated. Updated 03/09/06.
