1 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 05/04/2011

Rear evaporator leak -air conditioning system does not work- evaporator and aluminum hoses are 6" from rear tire - the evaporator will be damaged and/or corrode/oxidize at some point and leak - it will cost between $800 - $1500 to repair for an obvious design problem - if it hasn't leaked yet it will from the on-line complaints that I've seen.

2 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2011

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that there was a leak in the air conditioner which could cause the air bag to deploy without warning. The dealer had not been notified. The manufacturer was aware of the failure. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic who inserted red dye with the freon that would identify and plug the leak. The mechanic advised the contact that the remedy may or may not correct the failure. The current mileage was 83,000. The approximate failure mileage was 77,000. Bw.
