1 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2018

Takata recall. The airbag light is on and will not turn off, the horn does not work and the cruise control does not work. I was told it was the clock spring which is recalled on all other vehicles but does not show up on mine. This needs to be changed.

2 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 09/07/2016

On the 24th of August, the car was taken in for repairs related to several recalls including the ignition and air bags. After the work was done, the air bag light came on. After speaking to a mechanic over the phone, an appointment was made for septermber 9th. However when the car was brought in to be looked at, the employee I spoke to would not accept the problem as part of the recall work and wanted to charge a diagnostic fee. I have since had the car checked by a different mechanic whose opinion is that the previous work done on the car is what is causing the current air bag problem, and therefore I would like the work to be done without cost to me as per the warranty on the recall work.

3 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/31/2016

According to the dealership (withnell Dodge, in salem, or) there are no open recalls for my vehicle. Except the airbag light comes on and off all the time, and based on my research, there used to be a recall for the airbag module: recall number: 16v047000 / recall date: 01/29/2016 / component: air bags:frontal. I have owned this vehicle since 2009, and as far as I know, the airbag control unit has never been replaced as it states in the recall. I asked the dealership to check and confirm the airbag control has been replaced, but they refused unless I was willing to pay for them to diagnose the problem. The problem is still there, and I don't believe this recall has been performed even though the vehicle record shows there is no open recalls. I believe my vehicle has the problem listed in the recall, and I would like for Dodge to repair (free of charge) as stated in the recall.

Refer to date investigation opened: Sep 25, 2014 date investigation closed: open NHTSA action number: dp14004 component(s): electrical system my wife noticed it first and I have noticed this. It started when not moving but now continues while driving. The windshield wipers wipe even though they are off, the air bag light and total dash lights, we can't tell how fast we are going because of the gauge failure and the headlights blink among other electrical problems. This is not a good situation with 4 kids in the vehicle.

6 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2015

I have an airbag light, no horn and cruise control which while searching seems to be a clock spring in the steering column. Dodge says its not covered by a recall or warranty, but they have had other years affected with a recall, but they are not doing much to replace this.

8 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 09/10/2010

2008 Dodge Grand Caravan se airbag light stays on took it to Dodge service dealer and they seed it was the airbag computer and the price was $375. 00 plus $400. 00 to remove the center console and replace it. Its only 2years old and has 45,000 miles so their warranty does not cover it because their warranty is only 36,000 miles so they said that if I am in a accident the airbags wont deployed unless I have them changing the "airbag computer for $775. 00 plus tax and extras that might com up I think thats b.
