1 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 02/26/2020

Electric door locks and air bag system have stopped functioning normally. When you first start driving, the electric door locks are supposed to lock at 15 mph. Sometimes they will not lock until you are going 30 mph or 45 mph. Note that all three speeds are multiples of 15. After the doors eventually lock themselves, all of the door locks in the vehicle will unlock without warning as you are driving. This can happen at any speed - 20 mph, 70 mph, whatever. Once they unlock, the vehicle will continue "unlocking" the doors repeatedly every 5- 10 seconds continuously. The front doors can be manually locked by pushing down the door lock button located at the top rear section of the door. As soon as you manually lock the doors, they will unlock again and continue to unlock the doors every 5 - 10 seconds as you are driving the car. In addition, the air bag warning light in the dash lights up when you start the car and stays continuously lit as you are driving it. I consider these dangerous defects. It is unsafe to drive, and my Dodge dealership told me there no "open recalls" for my vehicle. This vehicle has only 86,000 miles on it.

Within the past several weeks on driving vehicle 2 block, my warning lights came on relating to esp and the traction control light indicating upon evaluation by a private mechanic that attention was needed in the steering column mechanism (air bags?), and traction control sensor "idiot" light appeared causing vehicle to grasp the pavement more than usual, my tires appeared okay, and I was advised that when the esp light comes on, traction control is automatic. . . 6 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 04/19/2015

We have not had an issue yet. However our airbag warning light is constantly coming on and we have had it checked 3-4 times and have been told that there is nothing wrong with the van. We also have a safety recall that has been in effect since 2014 and have been told that the parts are not available and in fact they are not even being manufactured yet. We would like to know why Chrysler is not taking this seriously. We could get into an accident and our air bags and restraint system could fail. What can we do?.

9 Warning Light On problem

While driving to the market my wife experienced a sudden shudder in the steering/brakes pulling the vehicle out of the driving lane towards the shoulder. She brought the vehicle to a stop of the shoulder. She noticed the esp/bas warning light and the slippery road/traction control warning light had both activated on the dash/instrument panel. We brought the vehicle to the dealer who informed us the steering angle/clockspring sensor which activates the drivers airbag had failed and needs replacement. According to the dealer the item is not covered under warranty and repair would cost a total of $508. Dodge recalled caravans 1996-2000 for a similar issue. We have already had to replace all the brakes, for what was termed premature whereout, at approx 22,000 miles. We had to replace the electronic keys which both crumbled after the 3rd year. What's next???? any help in this situation would be much appreciated.
