4 Fuel Delivery problem

Failure Date: 09/07/2001

The fuel rail was repaired as part of a recall in 1998. The same part has failed again in the same fashion with the dangers involved.

5 Fuel Delivery problem

Failure Date: 03/06/2001

Under normal driving conditions the fuel line fitting failed at the point where the fuel line enters the fuel injection rail. The result was a large amount of sprayed gas all over the top of the engine. I was lucky that the engine was cold and that the gas did not ignite from the exhaust manifold or a spark from the alternator. I my opinion this should not happen under any circumstance. If this happend on a summer day the car would have been engulfed in flames in a matter of seconds. I feel that this was a serious enough defect that I am taking the time to fill out this form. The car is scheduled to be repaired tomorrow 3/8/01 so the part in question will be available if needed. The vehicle is at stevens Dodge in milford, CT (203) 876-6464 where the service is to be performed. You can contact me if you have any questions. Marc kavulich.
