Four problems related to gasoline fuel system have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Intrepid. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Dealer refuse to redo recall.
When car has been running for a while one can smell gas. Took to dealer, and they can't seem to smell the gas.
While car was shut off for about 10 minutes while consumer was shopping, heard an annoucement that someone's car was burning in the parking lot. Fire department was called to the scene. It burned so badly that it was totalled. Driver s was affected the most by the fire.
The o rings were defective, which caused fuel to leak. The problem was repaired, however it recurred.
