Four problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 1998 Dodge Intrepid. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brakes would pulsate. When consumer applies brakes vehicle will not stop. Rotors went bad, and had to replace them 3 times within 3 years. Contacted Chrysler.
In low speeds and sudden stops, the abs braking system malfunctioned, causing the vehicle not to stop at all. Occurred twice. Please provide further information and VIN#.

The brakes cause a very noticeable shimmy when applied at any speed that can be felt through the steering wheel/brake pedal, and many times ,the entire car shakes. This problem is prevelant when slowing the vehicle on down hill slopes.
