I have a 2001 Dodge Intrepid and I have noticed in the past few months that the molding on the inside of my doors are shrinking and it is causing air from the outside to come in and cause loud outside noise while driving. None of the dealers in my area will do anything about it.

Consumer stated that 1996 , Dodge, Intrepid had a bolt sticking out on both back doors. This was a manufacturing safety device to keep the door closed in case of a collision. Consumer was in the back seat getting groceries out when her shoe string became entangled around the bolt and consumer fell on concrete and broke her hip. Consumer did not realize that string was entangled around the bolt. Consumer was rushed to the hospital, then she taken into surgery, she had to have 3 screws placed into her hip. Consumer was in the hospital for 5 days . Then, consumer was confined to a walker for several weeks until the bone healed. Consumer continued with physical therapy. The accident happened on may 18, 2005. Consumer had to be taken care of by someone else for quite a while. Consumer was in contact with Chrysler in June 2005. They sent an inspector to inspect the vehicle and take pictures. Consumer received a letter from Chrysler on July 5, 2005 stating that her claim was denied. Consumer had not filed any claim with Chrysler. All consumer wanted was the vehicle to be recalled so that the bolt could be removed. Consumer had not taken anyone to Chrysler. She just wanted to inform other people that the bolt was dangerous and could injure others more severely. Also, consumer had not done anything with the vehicle, and vehicle was still being driven.

Defective weatherstripping on all 4 doors - dealer states that it is obviously a defect - but cannot fix it because it is not under the initial 3 year warranty - Chrysler offers me a discounted price - I do not want to pay anything to Chrysler because there are 4 defective items on my $30,000 vehicle that I am still working hard to pay off. I brought it to them in August because I had time of from work, and they said if I would have brought it in 2 months ago it would have been covered. Load of crap that I did not meet the dead line on defective items in my car to be fixed for free. Chrysler gives a !@#$% about their customers and I will spread the word.
The rubber door seal failed.
When locking doors there's a loud distracting noise that could possibly cause an accident. Please provide any further information.

Rivets on inside of passenger's side door are coming out, and consumer cannot open the door at all. Contacted dealer.
The plastic casing around the rear windows in which the se model letters are stamped has detached from the doors at the rear, both rear windows. Nlm.
After several days of owning the vehicle the driver side door has become noticeably out of alignment. The dealer was able to correct this and realign the door assembly. Also, I noticed that the rear light piece on the top part of the trunk seems to have been cut sloppy from the factory. The bottom edge is jagged and seems to have been poorly trimmed from the factory. I notice this when opening my trunk and when washing the vehicle and feel that it is tacky. Selling dealer stated that no one usually sees that so they are cut like that from the factory. The trunk also makes a rubbing sound when opening, which sounds like the wire cover rubbing. Vehicle includes a trunk cargo net with the floor mounting hooks not exposed and seems as if you are supposed to tear holes in the carpet from looking at the cargo net instructions. I would like to be able to use the cargo net for groceries but I do not feel comfortable tearing holes in my carpet. I expected a quality vehicle for the price I paid and it so far does not seem that I have recieved a decent quality vehicle with all the issues I am experiencing.

The front driver and passenger door locks were cover under the orignal warranty and the rear passenger door locks were covered under my extended warranty in which I ended up paying a fifty dollar deductible . I would like to know are there other people having to replace their door locks.
Consumer noticed 2 years ago that center of the back window was not clear when it rained. Window design made water fall to center. But was clear on left and right. Consumer has not contacted manufacturer. Please add the VIN# and mileage.

I have noticed upon turning the engine off, when you exit the vehicle and touch the door with your hand or leg comes in contact with lower door frame you get an electrical shock. The driver's side door continues to push the window into the rubber gromet after it has already reached the top, causing the window motor to grind and the window to overextend into the rubber gromet. Both problems were noticed shortly after receipt of the car and have been an ongoing problem.
Power windows on all doors are inoperable. Windows will not come down. Also, power operated doors will periodically not open from inside. Dealer has replaced parts which has not corrected the problem. Please give any further details.
