1 Rear Suspension Shock Absorber problem of the 1997 Dodge Intrepid

Failure Date: 06/02/2006

: the contact stated the rear end of the vehicle bounced up and down after driving over a bump. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop, where the rear struts were replaced. The vehicle then began to make a clunking noise in the rear end. The repair shop was alerted, but did not inspect the vehicle.

2 Rear Suspension Shock Absorber problem of the 2000 Dodge Intrepid

Failure Date: 01/19/2001

While driving 70 mph back end was weaving, next day at 70 mph vehicle was fishtailing, consumer was not able to pull over and vehicle went on it own ,went over an embankmentand made 180 degress turn and then vehicle stopped but engine did not stop running. Had vehicle towed out of mud and drove to dealer who found that a strut was bent and had to be replaced.
