Suspension Problems of Dodge Intrepid

I bought this 1999 Dodge Intrepid from cliffs used cars sales two months ago. Everything seemed good one month or less later driver seat breaks goes backwards. The exterior headlights can't see at night. Tried every type if bulb its the housing units. Now front ebr clynks over every bump and majesa thunp when hard turbubg lft or rt. Steering is out if line. Have no means of getting it repaired still paying in it. 166000 niles and owe $1500. 00. Can anyone help me? this should fall under the recalls.

I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid I think there should be a recall on the motors I have put more money in that card and I paid for it I thought it would be dependable it only has 60,000 miles on it and now at the time I have on that there's only 70,000 miles on it added to the 60 its been in the shop more than I have driven yet every time I turn around there was always a problem that crack my head but it never ran hot to give me any warning because the water pump leakage the motor has always had low oil pressure nobody ever told me when I had it worked on but the 2004 Dodge Intrepid motors all have trouble with or pressure my car is no longer working it is sitting out in my yard the body is good interior is good I just put new tires on it I had trouble with the lighting for the headlights because getting moisture in it had trouble with the right side I had to have it fixed the ball bearing the joints that axle I need help kate put a used motor in it because you have the same problem and you motor cost money and it will probably wind up having the same problem please investigate the 2004 Dodge Intrepid if you have any questions or like to come take a look at my car to investigate this problem feel free to contact me I'm in columbus georgia my name is cheryl I'm pretty sure you can get my number if you need to contact me my email is dr pepper mom 37 at yahoo. Rack and pinion issues. Issues with front wheels and steering. I've had it fixed three times, very expensive. I was pulling out of a parking space, when the steer stopped controlling the wheels. I'm grateful I wasn't on the free way.

1996 Dodge Intrepid had to have alot of front end work done on tie rod ends and bushings worn out then while driving the car the brakes failed for no apparent reason and caused a accident whole front end totaled and the air bags did not deploy why is it that Dodge auto air bags do not deploy.

While driving vehicle shakes. Vehicle has been aligned several times but it does not hold an alignment. Vehicle has been taken to dealer on approximately twelve times, and each time a different component wqas changed, but problem resurfaced. .

Bracket which holds strut into place has worn out and caused strut to release, and front left wheel to fall over while driving at 20 mph. Dealer was notified. Feel free to provide any further information on this matter.

I heard noises like a loose bolt in the front end. Bushing needed to be replaced on both sides. Could not just replace bushings had to replace both tie rods. Still noise in the front end will have checked soon. Also loud noise when wheel is turned from side to side in cold. Sounds like metal is sticking.

Car pulls to right. 2 repair shops told me the car has memory steer or defect in steering.

Vehicle pulled to the left while traveling at any given speed. Vehicle has been in dealer's shop on two occasions, and problem still reoccurring.

I was driving my Intrepid, a new engine was just put into it, and they did a complete inspection of everything at the same time. I was going 50 miles an hour swerved to miss an animal, suddenly the left wheel must of broke, put me into a spin, I spun around several times ending flipped over into a ditch. No explanation except their must of been manufacturer defect in the steering or wheel assemblies. It was a slight swerve nothing extreme. I am hurt pretty badly, unable to barely move today, and my car was totaled after having to just had to put out money for an engine that blew up approximately a month earlier. Please help! I am a single mother, this was my dream car, now I have nothing, due to no fault of my own. While coming out of a shopping center a large popping noise occurred, and vehicle would not move. The front right wheel would not turn and the front left wheel did turn.

While driving vehicle there is a knocking noise and vibration which possibly could cause a loss of control and crash. Please provide further information.

While driving on road and letting go of steering vehicle will make almost a comlete turn to left. Contacted dealer, and the dealer tired to remedy problem, but problem still occurs.

When driving through slush or snow vehicle vibrated badly. Taken to dealer who suggested to take it to car wash ! the vibration occurs at the front end. Vibration is very excessive through steering. The dealer is unable to fix it.

Possible suspension problems are causing the vehicle to vibrate. Nlm.

Consumer heard noise from the steering system and front wheels. Whenever vehicle was cold the noise got louder. Dealer notified, and informed consumer that nothing could be found.

While driving at slow speeds vehicle sways to the right or left. Also, when making turns vehicle shakes or virbrates cause unknown. Please give any further details.

Steering wheel shakes hard while driving. Vehicles drives to the left.

Vehicle lately has not felt safe enough to drive at times. Steering wheel moves itself excessively at times and moves excessively to imperfections in roads. Steering continues to drift right or left. Clunk still heard in steering every once and a while. Vibration in steering wheel sometimes on smooth surfaces at higher speed. I had vehicle towed to another dealership as a precaution. I am trying another dealership to try to have my steering issues corrected. Dealership adjsuted tire pressure and stated that steering was fine after road test. Supposed Chrysler representative was there and supposedly test drove the vehicle as well and stated it drove fine as well. Shop foreman stated vibration was because wheels needed to be balanced. Also stated that it's normal for vehicles to drift when you let go of the wheel. They acknowledged the excessive right tire wear and agreed to do an alignment. Dealership stated they did not have time and service advisor stated an alignment could take 7 hours. 7 hours. . . . . . ? I'm afraid they are going to try and align the vehicle to counter these issues or it's going to take that long because there's a problem. This is scheduled for next week. Driving home from the dealer along sloped freeway onramp, after letting hands off the wheel the vehicle almost made a complete right turn on it's own. On the freeway vehicle was drifting to the right and to the left. After accelerating from a complete stop and front wheel hit a bumpy part in the road the steering wheel turned itself to the left. Steering wheel still feels like it sticks and does not return like it should. I have driven a Chrysler town & country as a test and it drives straight when you let off the wheel, the wheel does not move by itself as the Intrepid even over really bumpy roads. The wheel always returns how it should. I have had several people drive my car and they all agree even before I explained how I felt about it's steering. Chrysler's design is poor if this is normal.
