Twice now I've went to start my car and nothing happens. Lights, radio, etc all come on. Turn key, nothing! not even a clicking noise. I was leaving work the first time it happened. Took turning the key over and over about a dozen times to get it going. Next time I was at gas station. Took over half an hour to get it going. Ended up putting it into neutral to get it to start. Had to try that 4 different times in order for that to work. Have googles this issue on Dodge form and there are numerous people with the same issue. This needs to be a recall!.
Have intermittent starter fails. Often leaves me stranded. Have been able to get it going eventually by jiggling fuses in the fuse box. But I never know when this is going to happen and I have only had the car for 6 months and it has happened 6 times. Vehicle was always turned off and when I went to turn it on, nothing. But there is power in the car, lights and radio etc.
My car will randomly not start the lights on dash all come on along with the radio. It has been looked at numerous times and nothing hs happened a dozen plus times sometimes not for a month sonetimes a week or day latter.
This vehicle is equipped with a Dodge oem remote start system which was activated in this situation. I entered the "remote started" vehicle and went to place my key into the run position. I inadvertently took the key to the start position and upon doing so turned off the radio, power windows, air, turn signals, cluster lights. I was able to drive the vehicle during this incident. These particular items were the only ones I noticed to be non-operational, but there very well possibly could be other critical components such as air bags affected. In order to regain functionality, I had to turn the vehicle to the off position restart. I tried to duplicate the situation but was not able to get to get a reoccurrence at this time. This is the 2nd time I have had this arise. I was able to capture video of the powerless components and show the vehicle was capable to be driven. I've made an appointment with the local Dodge dealership for review. This vehicle did have a win module recall in 2011, and is not currently part of the recent Dodge ignition problem recall.
Car would not start. Everything worked (radio, windows etc) did not even make a sound like it wanted to start. I called performance Dodge where purchased, they told me to have it towed to them. I tried for over one hour to start car. It finally started. Took it to nearest repair shop, tested and found no codes. Took it to performance Dodge, found no codes.
